WARNING: 
I usually do not write reviews, but I felt impelled to share my terrible experience here.   I reserved a vehicle about 2 months prior, and when I arrived to pick up the car, I wad told that I had cancelled my reservation 1 month ago.  When I showed the manager an email from Hertz 2 days ago that confirmed my reservation, she rudely replied, "I didn't send that."  My only options were to get a much larger vehicle for double the price or be placed on a waiting list.   I chose the larger vehicle because I did not want to waste my day.  To be clear I did not cancel my reservation.  While i was paying, she started lecturing me how hard her job was and how this was completely my fault.  I never felt so demeaned before.

Horrible experience feels like an understatement. Visiting from out of town and needed a car to make it to our destination on the coast. Reserved car ahead of time to be picked up at 6:00pm. Arrived to the store at exactly 6:00pm but only one woman was inside who had already locked up and closed down the location. She just shook her head from inside the window at us, but when two people showed up to drop keys off, she opened the door for them, smiled and took care of them at the door. She wouldn't look at us, standing in front of the store so I called for her attention. She said we should have shown up on time if we wanted our car, so we pointed out it was 6:00. By the time we went back and forth for a bit, we decided to show her the time on our phones, it had turned to 6:01. When telling her we'd be stranded without a car if she didn't help us, she told us to go to Enterprise, closed and locked the door refusing to communicate with us. We immediately called customer service, who after an entire hour was not able to help us at all. We ended up having to get a hotel room to stay in the city (which is not cheap when you have to book the night of!).

I simply cannot believe the level of unprofessionalism displayed here. Rather than take 10 minutes to help us out, at our scheduled time, this woman forced us to cancel our trip out to the coast and we are currently stuck in the city without a vehicle having to spend additional money on a hotel. I believe this employee should be severely reprimanded if she should even be allowed to keep her job. I would stay away from this location at all costs.

DO NOT RENT HERE, THEY GIVE YOUR CAR AWAY. 
My wife and I had a reservation and had already prepaid for it. We arrived late to pick up the car because we were hungry after catching the train from Seattle and they said they gave the car away. 
My understanding is that when you pay to rent something you can use it how you wish - imagine paying for a hotel room and when you go out during they day they give it to others. 
Even worse was the complete lack of customer service, especially from the manager Ryan Lange. I get that they were busy and might be out of cars but be polite and nice about it. Like when airlines oversell a flight.

Made reservation on the phone with a booking agent the evening before rental.  I asked twice if a car would be available and was assured there would be and set a pick up time. When I arrived at pick up time, I was treated like I was crazy for booking one day prior and expecting to actually get a car.  There were 4 customers in line before me and not a single person in the office had gotten a rental car.  All were treated rudely and told they needed to wait at least an hour.  Not sure what business Hertz is involved with, but it certainly doesn't seem to be renting out cars.  I have never seen such an unorganized and unprofessional operation.  Avis and Enterprise have their problems, at least they can actually perform the service they advertise.

Wish I could give zero stars. Arrived, they didn't have my pre-paid car available and couldn't offer any alternatives, except for a cargo car with no seats. Finally the lady at the counter couldn't offer to finalize my refund, she sent me out to call customer service. NEVER rent from here.
