Two things happened recently that make me not want to use this service anymore- I saw the cleaners taking care of a car I'd used outside my house, shortly after the car was gone (it had been off the map for some maintenance issues) and trash was all over the street in front of my house. I contacted Car2go service- they said the'd fine the user a $50 cleaning fee to discourage them from doing it again. I explained it appeared to be their people- and that if they charged anyone a $50 cleaning fee why is there still trash outside my house? From what I can tell this was never followed up on. They also locked my account for a charge from April 2017- it added up to $100+ for "several trips in April" I use this service because it doesn't cost me $100 all at once, I can afford smaller increments. This has happened to me twice now, I can no longer afford no support Car2go.

Went in looking for a new family sized car. I feel we got a decent deal, were treated well and they were able to finance us despite credit issues. We got a tiny discount for being veterans. That said, the car we bought had a check engine light come on the very next day. When we told them, they agreed to fix it. We brought the car in, they said it was an O2 sensor, and when we picked it up, check engine light was off. 3 weeks later, check engine light came on again. We took it to our mechanic who also said O2 sensor, and said it looked as though previously they had just turned the code off, without fixing anything. A little shady there.. at least it wasn't something major, that could have been disastrous.

Live in a middle of a neighborhood away from a city center. They block my driveway and unable to safely park. If the business is set up to make money why have assets in a neighborhood where no one uses them and they sit for days/weeks.

I've been a Car2Go user for a couple of years and love their service. Point-to-point rental has been revolutionary.

I live in St. John's, and work downtown. Every morning for months I would leave my house and see two or three Car2Go vehicles parked on my block, so when I got a job that required me to work very late nights a few times a week (later than the bus runs), I though Car2Go would be a much better alternative to cabbing it home! I signed up and ponied up the $35 starter fee. A few days later I had occasion to take one of the little smart cars for a test drive and it went swimmingly, so I was really looking forward to exercising my independence on my next late night...well, it turns out that by the time I'm done with work, there are NO Car2go vehicles left in the downtown area. Night after night this has been the case, and I end up having to take a cab home anyway. Ok, so much for my brilliant idea to make my late night commute safer and cheaper, but surely I should still be able to use the service for running errands and such, right? WRONG. I stopped seeing those cute little cars around St. Johns right around the time I actually signed up, so I went online to see what was up, and it looks like St. Johns is no longer in the "Home Area". Car2Go downsized their service area to exclude a pretty big chunk of the city. I'm sure it made financial sense for them or something, but it sure doesn't make sense to me, especially since I ALREADY paid before they made that change (as far as I could tell). So, basically, I wasted money signing up for a service that doesn't remotely serve me or my community. As for the lack of vehicles downtown after 11 pm...well, that's just poor planning on their part. I'm sure all of those cars go home with commuters over the course of the evening, but if Car2Go moved a few more vehicles into the downtown core later in the evening I'm sure they would find plenty of people like me who would love a safer alternative to get home...unless they live in St Johns, which apparently is not a real place where people live anymore.
