Gold service cars are not reserved here. First car we chose in Gold area (and loaded and took to gate) turned out to be faulty and couldn't be rented. There were no other suitable cars left in gold area. Went to office, told we could choose from Five star area. Next two cars smelled of smoke. Fourth car finally OK but a jeep not a saloon that we had booked. Very poor and time wasting experience.

The car was great, but what blew us away was, at the moment my stress levels were starting to build while dropping the car off at Logan today, Tim offered us a ride to the terminal! Turns out Hertz offers to drop you off curbside free if you have a little one, and for a mere $25 otherwise. I would have gladly paid the fee for the peace of mind of unloading four suitcases, our stroller and our car seat directly outside of our bag check. Incredible, proactive service that absolutely turned our day around 100% for the better. I regret not getting our driver's name, he was friendly and so very helpful. My name was listed on the gold board but there was no area listed for me to pick up a car. There are also no cars available in the President's Circle or the five-star area. Once I went through the exit gate the lady that checked me out was so rude. I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me. That was the worst service I've ever encountered any Hertz facility ever. I will be contacting my company for us to move our services away from Hertz. The lady at the gate needs to be moved away from dealing with the public in the future.

Good was great! Service was not. Large groups do not seem to be welcome at the restaurant. Upon arrival we were asked if we made reservations; however, when we called no one answered. When it came to the bill we were told they could not accommodate separate tabs, thus enforcing a large group gratuity. There were only two other parties there at the time; our large group of approximately 12 should not have been an issue.

Decent facilities and shuttle services to get you around the airport to the car rental or hotel. Helpful people overall, when needed. 

Watch out for the "taxi mafia" they'll  cut you off. To let other taxis drivers cut in line when headed to the airport...  Gotta to Love Boston!!
