Based on previous reviews, I'll admit that I was a little nervous about booking a room at this hotel, but I was very pleasantly surprised! When we got there, the lady at the front desk was great! The room they originally had us down for was on the upper floor, but as we started toward our room, we soon realized that there is no elevator. Before we even asked, the lady apologized and asked us if we would like a room on the 1st floor instead. Awesome customer service! We got to the room and were very happy with it. It was good sized, clean, and had everything we needed. Yes, the wallpaper was peeling a little bit in a few places, the mattress was old and a not super comfortable, and it was a but dated, but really, it wasn't bad at all. They had a nice sized pool and hot tub, which we didn't use, but it looked nice enough. Breakfast was served from 6:30-9:30, and even on weekday mornings included biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, and waffles, along with the standard hotel breakfast food. Housekeeping did a wonderful job of making sure our bed was made and that we always had fresh towels and wash cloths. I would definitely stay here again! If you want a swanky hotel, you're going to have to pay the price of a swanky hotel, but if you just want a clean, comfortable place to stay, then I recommend this place!

I believe the room was a bit pricey at $114 for one night. We stopped in at 2:30 AM and so didn't get much use of the room before the 11 AM checkout time. It was a pet-friendly room as we had a cat. The room itself was a bit dated and could use new carpeting. The bathroom was not upkept to the standard I'd expect for paying over $100, especially the bathtub as the enamel coating was severely damaged and had peeled off. Overall it was OK but it felt more like a $60 room.

We were refused check-in but charged twice  on our credit card leaving us very little funds in our account. During a phone call to the owner's daughter I was hung up on after they refused to fix our reservation. Their own employee claimed it was their "greedy owner's fault" and that he was too prideful to assist us. She then gave us the room for the night and I had to talk to  the owner the next morning, it was a frustrating weekend due to an ignorant owner. Decently clean rooms I must admit.

Was very  clean and nice just sucked the hot tub close at 10:00pm wish it was longer  but all in all it was a great place to stay

The Hillside Inn was easy to get to as it is just off the main road. I was in town for a wedding so I was not in my room very much, but it was very clean. I was happy with my stay at the Hillside Inn and would stay here again if I'm ever in Pagosa Springs
