What can I say about the Katy Elks Lodge?  Since joining about 4 years ago, I feel as though I have found a place where I feel safe, appreciated and loved.  I also have many opportunities to give to the community through coordinating and participating in fund raisers that help support the Texas Elks Camp for special needs children (Sweetheart Program), provide scholarships for local students (Youth committee), helping to acquiring special tools such as hearing aids, braille script writers, special hospital beds, wheel chairs,etc. through the Elks National Foundation, where I did not before.  I wanted to help in the community before joining but did not know how.  The Elks have provided me many opportunities to do so.  Even the proceeds from the "Designer Fries" sold at Katy Rice Harvest Festival each year help to fund our local charities.  Every week offers opportunities to give to others, to see goodness in other people and to be our own best selves.  The Katy Elks lodge has become a blessing to me!  Even my 83 year old mother has joined and is there more than I!  She and I feel safe when at the elks where we are part of a local family as well as an extended family at area lodges. Learn more about the elks but better yet, come be a part of what we do. You are always welcome as my guest if you would like to see for yourself.  You will leave there with a feel good attitude.

The Katy Elks Lodge is such a great place to volunteer.  Being new in Katy,  I have met many life long friends here.  I was fortunate enough to serve at the Sweetheart for 2 years and even the Texas State Association Sweetheart raising funds for special needs children.  Recently a co-worker told me of a single mom with an autistic child who was moving into a home and did not have much.  Our Food Pantry program was able to stock her shelves with staples and non-perishables for her new home.  I was very touched when she stopped by the lodge with her son to bring us some homemade cake pops as a thank you.  That is what being an Elk is about.  Working hard to support the many charities for youth, veterans and special needs children in the community.  If you like to give back, make friends, have fun and feel like you have contributed to your community, please stop in and ask about becoming a member.

I moved to Katy Texas 6 years ago. I was looking for a place I could go and relax, laugh and enjoy the atmosphere. I was invited to the lodge in 2010 by David and Lisa Hernandez; I was really happy I found a place I could come to and say "I have found a lot of good friends, and I'm proud to call family". I became a member a few years later. I have brought my mom (78 yrs young) to watch karaoke on a Saturday night and she enjoys it. I became the Youth Committee Chairman and have enjoyed every bit. We have different kinds of fun raisers thru out the year to raise money for the Katy Children, for starters Fish fry in January, Dance parties, game nights, cooking dinners, raffles, all this to help raise money for the Katy children and to help them on their new journeys in life with the scholarship program. If you would like to come by relax, and enjoy good company, our doors are always open. Come and see us!

I joined the Katy Elks Lodge in 2013 and I have met some great caring people and made lifelong friends. Elks put the Fun in Fundraising! We are always trying to come up with new ideas and fun ways to raise money to help those in our community. A lot of our fundraisers are open to the public so, check out our sign located in the front of the lodge for upcoming events. You will always be welcomed when you drop by to visit us!

I joined three years ago and have made friends that I now call family! Also, I have had the privilege of serving as the Lodge Sweetheart and together we raised funds for the Texas Elks Camp, which holds summer camp for special needs children. The funds also go toward Katy area special needs kids for specialized equipment, such as hearing aids, prosthetics, etc. We have a food pantry for local needy families and a holiday program that provides Christmas gifts to children in the Katy area who otherwise would not have gifts on Christmas morning. There's a youth scholarship program for high school students as well as a Veteran's program! Plus, we have a great time together!! Come see us!!
