One of the things I tend to judge a business by is not that they don't make mistakes.  If you don't make a few mistakes then you aren't doing enough.  Instead, I prefer to see a company's reaction to the error.

My wife and I had a horrid experience with a very condescending sales person and decided to take our business elsewhere.

The problem was that after weeks of looking this location had the EXACT vehicle we were looking for.  We Decided to give it another shot.

We were approached by a different sales associate and explained that I wouldn't buy so much as a candy bar from the associate we had been assigned to on our previous visit.   I got the feeling this was not  an uncommon statement.

The new associate was apologetic and vowed to make sure that this visit would end differently.  We were treated respectfully and never made to feel as though it would "be a privilege" to spend our income on this vehicle.

He never tried to up sell or over explain, but you could tell he had a passion and dedication to great customer service.  Every question we had  was answered and then we were left to make our own decisions.  Only once did he ask that if we enjoyed our experience to please leave a comment here.

I'm very grateful to Eric Bates for the tremendous customer service he provided and for totally changing my perception of Long Mercedes-Benz.

His company made a mistake.  Eric took it on himself to correct it and earned my business.

I am very impressed with the service I received with Long of Chattanooga.   The level of courtesy and sincere concern for my needs during a stressful situation made everything so much easier.   Drew, my service provider, and the manager, took excellent care of us!  Thanks again for being so terrific!

David Rhea and the team at Long Mercedes always take excellent care of me.  David is great to thoroughly explain the service being provided and available to answer questions.  Thank you Long Mercedes for all you do!!

We have had only very positive experiences with all the staff at Long Mercedes.  MaryBeth has bee our service manger for 2 years.  She is always positive, available for questions and is a really nice person to work with.  She solves every problem easily.  Derrick is our salesperson and also a techie who can help us with any puzzling situations. He is also a great person who is always available.  Rich is the body shop manager, who has been terrific whenever we have needed work done.  Since we have 2 Mercedes Benz, there is always something that needs to be done. It is so nice to know that we will be taken good care of in any situation.

Long Mercedes needs to be staffed more appropriately so that service advisors can answer the phone and provide information when they get "busy."  Not being able to contact them on a regular basis, and for over 3-4 days without going in person is not "exceptional" service.  It is management's fault, not the service advisors. They also don't tend to keep common parts in stock so every repair is a multi-day affair.  David is a great service advisor!
