Had an appointment there , apparently there was a specialist that customized rings… and I was looking at a specific design but they only showed me 1 ring lol , not professional either. I went somewhere else and they showed me many exactly what i was looking for. So I bought it right there and then instead

I stumbled upon this store after visiting another jewelry store. Wasn’t sure if I was going to buy a diamond ring or not. But my husband pushed me to go look for one in this store. And you guys.. I had the greatest experience buying my first ever diamond ring in Canada! Bonnie, was so charismatic and charming. She helped me get a great deal on the ring that I liked and guess what it was a very quick decision. Would totally recommend her in this store. They apparently take care of the diamonds so I was asked to come back few months later to re check on the diamonds.. that’s amazing! Thank you

My fiancé and I happen to drop into this location.  We went to a different jewelry store first and just couldn’t spend the type of money they wanted on one thing so simple we were looking for.  So! We hesitated to drop in here.  We met two ladies one with blonde hair and got talking to another one by the name of Bonnie.  Well Bonnie went above and beyond and totally helped us find what we are looking for and I also got a bonus because I didn’t want to purchase wedding bands what so ever.  Well it turns out we will be back to see Bonnie in the coming week.  She’s friendly helpful and just the type you want to hug at the end of the day but because of the times we can’t. Bonnie was proactive, approachable, and down-to-earth! Bonnie even offered to have herself or another staff member try on jewelry. Jewelry shopping especially at places like Michael Hill is normally an intimidating experience for me since it’s not something I do often, but Bonnie made the experience a lot easier. I had such a wonderful experience at this location today. The staff was absolutely amazing and I will definitely be shopping here again. I was ignored and then blown off by another jewelry store in the mall. But as soon as I entered Michael hill I was warmly welcomed and helped. I was shown a number of items in a price point I was looking for. There were two staff members in this morning and both were absolutely lovely, fun, warm and helpful. Great customer service and will now be making this location my first stop for any future jewelry needs.

I’ve had a somewhat good experience there everytime I’ve brought my engagement ring in for cleaning / checking the diamonds except for my last visit. I wish I had gotten her name because she was rude to me and my fiancé and her coworkers noticed. They tried to make us more comfortable but she was very unpleasant. I will not be going back to this location and I hope if she still works there she acts like she wants to be there so other customers don’t have to fall victim to her behaviour.

Today my fiance and I were browsing stores as he had an idea of ring style/ design but was shopping around. We made this evident to all stores and up until Michael Hill it was going well. The woman Steph whom helped us, on several occasions spoke over us, and interrupted us she did apologize but it continued more than once. Because we were looking at a couple rings narrowed down to the Tungsten Black Ring and a White Gold and Black one. I mistakenly said I believe he likes the silver presenting one and she corrected me in a harsh matter of fact tone telling me it was White gold. Several minutes I turned to fiance and said do you prefer the mix of silver and black or all black and she interrupted us personally speaking to say"its white gold" and added in that's what makes it expensive. We did like the rings but were on the fence, so she took the 2 we liked saying this is around 200 and this 500. Comes back and says the 500 was actually 800 range and once again when I was confirming it was two tone before I could say she's says WHITE GOLD and black. My fiance and I were quite taken back by now and unfortunately they lost the sale as we went with a competitor. We both come from sales and totally understand the concept of commission, but today felt very aggressive and rude. Asides from today's interaction I've shopped here in the past and never had an issue.

I bought earrings that broke the second time my partner wore them. They were clearly a defective product, but I still could not get a return because they were earrings. I got an exchange for the same earrings that are simply badly designed and made to break. I do not recommend Michael Hill at all.

I dropped into the store looking for a particular necklace and was assisted right away. Bonnie was wonderful to deal with, very helpful and knowledgeable. Her friendly demeanour made the experience easy and pleasant. The staff were all very polite and willing to help. I would definitely recommend shopping at this location.
