Ten Thousand Villages is the oldest and largest Fair Trade organization in North America, selling artisan-crafted personal accessories, home decor and gift items from around the globe.

Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. They have unique items that you wouldn't normally find elsewhere. Slightly pricier than I would like.

Great place to get ethical (fairtrade) and tasteful gifts. You can also find good quality coffee and other great kitchen essentials. They offer free coffee and tea for customers to try.

If you're looking for a gift you can feel good about, this is the place for you. I've shopped at ten thousand villages for the last few years when looking for sustainable gifts--it's more expensive than normal goods, but that's because everything is fair trade. You can get some really nice jewelry, ornaments, or food products like chocolate and coffee. The quality is really good, and the staff are very friendly and knowledgable.
