Story

The Porter Automotive Group is a fourth generation, family owned business that has been servicing the local community since 1925. The most important thing that we stress to our people is ethics. Our industry has been somewhat stereotyped over the years because some dealerships chose to take advantage of customers and had little regard for customer satisfaction. We believe that the key to being successful in our business is building long-term relationships with our customers.

This is achieved by providing the customers with a fair price, a job done right the first time and most importantly, treat customers with the courtesy and respect they deserve. It is imperative for us to conduct business with the highest standards and ethics. We truly believe that this is why greater than 40% of our business is generated from previous customers.

Stopped in on a Saturday after being at other local ford dealerships and bought the truck I was looking for. Excellent staff and very friendly. First time ever buying a car at a dealership and they made the process easy. Most certainly will do business again and recommend to everyone.

Specifically with regards to their service center. I brought my car here twice. The first time due to and alternator failure and the second due to an exhaust issue. They cheated me once and tried to cheat me twice. The first time, when my alternator failed, they said that my battery was also kaput. I argued that it was less than 3 months old. They wouldn't budge. I said OK, put in the new battery, but give me the old one back. After a lot of back and forth, they agreed. That 'kaput' battery is now powering my parent's car - It just needed a charge. I made the mistake of bringing it in a second time. This time their was a rattling on my exhaust - It turns out it was a rattling heat shield. But they claimed that it was a bad catalytic converter that had infected the whole exhaust system, so the catalytic converter, exhaust pipe and muffler would need to be replaced for a small for of $1700. I refused and brought the car home. 2,000 miles later and the car is running fine and the rattle disappeared with the help of some zip ties. They also recommended a coolant flush, fuel filter change and carbon buildup removal. The coolant was flushed 10,000 miles ago and the fuel filter was changed a few months ago. Both experiences were with one service advisor, so maybe they aren't all bad, but this is my experience

I went in to buy out a lease of a 2015 Ford Fiesta. Before I went in, I was online and a Fusion caught my eye. I went in and asked for the numbers on the Fusion. I ended up buying the Fusion because I wanted something larger with more airbags for safety. The Fiesta was a nice little car but I'd rather have something I'm more comfortable in. I want to thank Melissa M. for all her help explaining all my options with regards to financing, discounts and options in the car. She made it very easy without any pressure. I'd also like to thank Jacob for his help with the whole application process, again no hurry or pressure. Thank you Porter Ford. That Fusion is a beautiful car. Looking forward to putting some miles on it. Joe M.

Jan. 2, 2018 we purchased brand new tires from Porter Ford- great Service, great price for 4 Brand New Tires! Porter Free Shuttle Service took us home as they placed the New tires on - when our tires were placed on our Ford Explorer - we received a call that our tires were installed - we called and Ford Service Shuttle (Driver- Jeff) nice guy picked us up from our home to take us back to Porter Ford - Thanks to Lorenzo to took care of us and the nice ladies for comfy conversations as we processed our payment - we Love Porter Ford! Thanks Porter Ford!
