I found it interesting to see the tall redwoods. it wasn't what I expected. I thought I would see some of the large redwoods but I didn't see any like you see in the movies where you can drive through them. I started to walk on one of the paths but realized I was alone and being a single woman I did not feel safe so I left. I think this would be a good place to take a hike but I would also caution that I think that you should be accompanied.

This is a must see if you want to get out and see our great country and the beauty of what our great and mighty God has created. These trees and the forest is a awesome place. Two days were not enough and there is so much to see and do.

One of the most magical places on Earth! " The redwood is the glory of the Coast Range. It extends along the western slope, in a nearly continuous belt about ten miles wide, from beyond the Oregon boundary to the south of Santa Cruz, a distance of nearly four hundred miles, and in massive, sustained grandeur and closeness of growth surpasses all the other timber woods of the world." ~ John Muir A "Bucket List" Must Do!

Breathtakingly beautiful!! This is the type of place you go to if you love trees especially redwoods. We mostly stayed at elk prairie campground which offers campsites in the forest along a creek. So gorgeous full of moss and ferns this place is definitely like stepping back into time before concrete jungles dominated the earth. A must see for sure and temperate climate is most definitely a plus.

This place is a long hard drive but it's absolutely worth it. The deeper you go into the forest you feel like you're in a Hansel and Gretel fairytale. It's absolutely enchanting and there is silence that is scary but at the sometime magical
