Good customer services. But we booked our rental a month out from our trip. The day comes to pick up our rental and they ask, "where are y'all headed off to"? Thankfully... something was said because apparently if you start in Texas and go anywhere further than the surrounding states (like New Mexico, Oklahoma and Louisiana) they charge you .50 per mile. We were about to take off to Tennessee and Alabama. That would have been one expensive trip!!!! Will not be using this company again for that reason alone. Enterprise is the way to go. Thankfully we found something at Enterprise for $40 more in 45 mins before everything closed. They offer unlimited miles and you can go anywhere in the U.S.

If I could leave zero stars that would still be too much for this Company. Go to Enterprise or any other American car rental company. I've rented with Sixt in Europe for years now due to the prices and was excited to find it in Dallas. I'm in Austin so I went to Dallas (3 hours away) to rent from the Marriot location. Picked up the car fine and came back to Austin. A couple days later the car's maintenance light came on and said service was required (say what?). At the same time, the brakes began making a squealing noise that made it really awkward at stops with pedestrians crossing. I called Sixt and they told me to take it to an authorized Volvo dealership to get checked out. Excuse me? I got this while my car is in the shop and I'm supposed to take your car in to get regular maintenance and brake checks? I said no, obviously, and asked for options. I was given: option 1) make an appointment at Volvo and spend my Saturday getting a rental car serviced and possibly leaving it overnight into the work week so that I could miss work too, or option 2) drive all the way back to Dallas and switch it out and spend my Saturday on the road and paying for a hotel I didn't otherwise need and gas. I chose option 2, and after battling with the location about a refund, I was given NOTHING. My credit card company was mad at Sixt for ripping me off and gave me $43 in sympathy. Go to a German company and get German customer service, aka NO customer service (I lived in Germany for years I can rip on it). Honestly, go anywhere else than Sixt.

The business is clean and looms nice, but don't let that fool you. There are a lot of hidden fees that they do not tell you about until they are about to charge you. We reserved 2 full-size SUVs for a funeral procession at $110 per vehicle on the phone. Got to the store front to pick up the SUVs, and had to add $56 per vehicle for insurance, which is a must. We went from $220 to $332, which is fine and dandy. When the employee went to authorize the transaction, we were told it had to be a credit card...well we have cash/debit. At no point was this mentioned to have a credit card. Then to top it off. We were then told of a $200 charge per vehicle. We managed to come up with a credit card but were then told we need $380 PER vehicle available on the credit card. This was absolutely ridiculous and I will never recommend or use this company ever.

This is my 3rd time renting with Sixt and my 1st time from the Addison location. Although my vehicle was not ready when I arrived. The customer service representative Kay did a remarkable job at making sure we were well taken care of. My vehicle was nicer than I expected, thanks to Kay's wonderful advice. So glad I took it! When I returned the car a week later I discovered I left my garage door opener in the vehicle. One call and it was resolved with no worries. Service likes this goes a long way in my book. I'll be sure to rent from Sixt again as well as spread the word to my colleagues.

So I gave 2 stars because this rental company use to be really good. It is a company based out of Germany. When I was 24 and I moved to Dallas I needed a reliable vehicle to travel to and from back to OKC to see my family. This place allows underage drivers to rent a vehicle for a fee which is still pricey and a $200 hold. No extra fees or penalties. As I turned 25 I have experienced so many issues with my date of birth because of how their system reads the date (backwards in Germany). So the system would never have my DOB correct and would charge me the underage fee still. This limited me so I had to pay in store and not online where I could get the cheapest rate. In store I had to argue with the guy to tell him to read my license and that I was 25. I would know; I don't want to pay the underage fee anymore LOL. Anyways, the people here were amazing until the African lady started working there. She dictates what bills you can and cannot use when I've never had a problem using them before, and she is extremely rude. I have witnessed her get into it with another customer just because he needed to rent a vehicle and she told him incorrect information over the phone. Another incident is when her and a man were arguing back and forth about where to park a vehicle, in the garage or in front of the facility. She made a lady leave and fill the car tank up and told her to just leave the keys on the desk, they are closed (it was the way she said it to her). So many instances I have witnessed with her and have overheard many conversations in the short time that I went to pick up a vehicle and then more issues with a different customer when I return the vehicle. That's crazy! Ever since she has started working there I have been charged for crazy things like smoke smell in the car when I don't even smoke and I mentioned it to the guy that cleans their vehicles. It took me calling their office who then said they would transfer me to billing but instead transferred me to customer care who then gave me the number to billing and told me to call at 8:00am their opening time, but they really opened at 9:00am. Because of the run around, her attitude, and these fees that have occurred more than once. I don't think I will be renting from this company again. I have rented so much to where I am a gold member. Not anymore! She has definitely brought the business down. Shocking the employees cannot see it. Half the time management is sitting around the corner. I'm pretty positive you can hear how rude she is to the customers. Actually I am more than sure. You hear the manager sit behind shuffling papers half the time. Ridiculous.
