Very nice hostess, she is a kind lady. Very nice decor, arranged, cleaned and decorated home. Near to south street bridge is a plus point where you can enjoy the philly cityscape day and night.

We didn't even end up staying there because the owner or hostess or whoever she is was so rude when we got there, we left and decided to stay somewhere else. And still, I wasn't going to write this review until I checked my voicemail and heard the rude message she left when we were still originally on our way there. I had told the woman my plans weren't set in stone but that we were hoping to get there to park at around 11 a.m. Unfortunately we had a heck of a trip up from North Carolina and it took longer than planned. When we got there at 1, her first words to me were that she wished I had called to say I would be late. Then she scowled and said something about how we had brought a baby. When I could get a word in I explained he was my grandson whom I had brought up to visit family and how he wasn't staying with us. The free parking I was expecting turned out to be her barking at us to run and get our car from where we had it so we could get it into an open spot near her place on the street and then her yelling at us when someone took the spot before we could get to our car. Then she wanted ten dollars for a parking permit so we could stay where we were. She wanted to know exactly when we were coming back that night so she wouldn't "be a prisoner in my own home sitting here waiting for you." That's when, after two days of driving and just wanting to get to my family reunion, I decided it was time to bail. I couldn't tell you what it looks like inside because I never for past her front steps.

I have been a guest at South Bridge Bed and Breakfast and I can't recall when I've felt more welcome and more comfortable. The decorative style of this beautiful house is breathtaking, and the innovative design amazes one at every turn. I don't usually eat breakfast, but the menu offerings here are equivalent to a four star hotel, and I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast bread pudding. The next time I'm in Philadelphia for the night, I'll be certain to stay here.

My son and I stayed at South Bridge Bed & Breakfast two nights ago on a college visit trip. A grand piano greeted us as we entered the warm, inviting living/dining room which was decorated with large African murals and artifacts. Our room was adorned with photos, paintings, needlework, lots of books and other fun items to peruse. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom modern and bright featuring a glass-doored tile shower and glass sink. Our gracious hostess, Chelle, surprised us with a delectable breakfast of pumpkin chocolate chip "muffin," pancakes topped with Nutella, whipped cream and toasted walnuts, with bacon and fresh cantaloupe. Time to leave came too quickly. The B&B is located a two minute walk from the new Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk, which was our path to University City. I can't wait until my next visit!

Stayed overnight as we attended the Penn Relays. From the beginning our experience was excellent. Greeted at front door by owner Chelle, we were made to feel at home and comfortable. Room was excellent as was overall accommodations. Location is a short walk from U of Penn and shopping and restaurants and very easy to get to driving. Breakfast was outstanding and conversation with Chelle was very enjoyable. In summary we could not have hoped for a better experience and we will recommend this place to all.
