Teaism never disappoints. Whether getting a whole meal or just some tea and scones, it is a fast and fresh option in the Penn Quarter. Lots of space down stairs for small or larger groups. I love the ginger scones and ginger limeade. Also like to get okasuki which is brown rice with different toppings and comes with a pot of green tea you can add to make it as soupy as you like or just drink on the side. Practical and delicious!

I always enjoy my trips to Teaism. Food is great as great as the tea. Good ambiance. Fast service. Very relaxing when dining down stairs.

Food was decent but nothing special. The tea was very good and served in a great mug that kept the heat. There is seating downstairs with a small coy pond. Lunch for two was over $30 which is high even for DC.

Healthy mixed Asian food. I came because of the reviews. I had the fried chicken bento box. It was strange: fried organic chicken (dry and tough), pickled cucumbers, brown rice, cold mixed potatoes and dried seaweed. It tasted healthy except that fried chicken bento with little to no vegetables isn’t really healthy. I don’t know why the potatoes were cold. They do have a good selection of teas... I usually think Asian food is generally yummy, flavourful, lots of veggies, light yet tasty. Not here, but maybe it was my selection...?

Teaism has a lot of stuff on the menu so it has something for everyone. It is always fast and clean. The food is pretty decent for a counter style restaurant. I recommend the curries.
