Story

Come enjoy our rustic, mountain lodge with its beautiful modern decor and sumptuous beds outfitted with luxurious high-quality linens - you won't want to get out of bed. Every thought has been given to make your stay a relaxing
experience. Each room is equipped with HDTV, wireless internet, ensuite bathroom and luxurious AMBR SPA guest toiletries.

The Lodge, located directly across from the shores of Lake Tahoe in Homewood, is the perfect choice for your ski vacation or summer fun. Enjoy the convenience of immediate access to the bike trail, Obexer's Boat Company marina directly across the street; and Homewood Ski Resort is just minutes from The Lodge.

Start your morning at nearby Obexer's General Store and Deli for gourmet coffee, breakfast sandwiches and wraps. End your day on the pier at Chamber's Landing or enjoy fine dining at Swiss Lakewood Restaurant or West Shore Cafe.
Coming in 2014: The former Old Tahoe Cafe is now under new ownership and the doors will be opened to a freshly remodeled cafe and breakfast/lunch menu Memorial Day 2014.

Summer Activities
Want to spend your day out on the water? Take water ski/wakeboard lessons, rent jet skis, charter a boat or launch your boat at Obexer's Boat Company; or rent paddleboards, kayaks and canoes at West Shore Sports -- both located in
Homewood. Rent a bicycle at West Shore Sports and take a leisurely ride on the bike paths along the West Shore's amazing shoreline.

Beach picks: D.L. Bliss State Park, Meeks Bay and Sugar Pine Point. To experience Tahoe's history, start near Fanny Bridge at the Gatekeeper's Museum, where you can learn about Tahoe's early residents and see examples of the
Washoe Tribe's basket weaving. Take a tour of Tahoe's first lakefronts, built in the early 20th century by Tahoe's eccentric pioneers -- Ehrman Mansion at Sugar Pine Point State Park and Vikingsholm in Emerald Bay, one of Tahoe's
iconic and most picturesque landmarks. Boat or kayak out to Fannette Island and explore the remains of the teahouse, or hike along Lake Tahoe's highest cliffs at D.L. Bliss State Park as you gaze down at the crystal-clear blue waters.

Winter Activities
Homewood Mountain Resort, just minutes from the Lodge, with 1,260 acres of skiable terrain, bills itself as Tahoe's most beautiful resort. You will understand why when you ski its slopes, which make you feel like you're going to ski straight into
Tahoe's sparkling blue waters. Squaw Valley Resort and Alpine Ski Meadows are also within short driving distance from The Lodge. The cross-country trails at Sugar Pine Point State Park, the site of the 1960 Winter Olympic Nordic events,
were re-opened in 2006. Rangers lead full-moon snowshoe tours on specific dates. Granlibakken Resort is a great place to take the family sledding; it has one poma and rope tow to take sledders, or beginner skiers, to the top of the hill. The resort offers sledding and afterward you can warm up with a cup of hot chocolate in the lodge.
