Trade 1 is LITERALLY like walking in to an adult TOY STORE!! 😁😁😁 They have such an amazing range of games for basically every single console EVER MADE! Which of course means you can also find which ever console with the matching controller(s) you desire! You can then ALSO find multiple shelves FULL of a wide variety of vinyl records and a large collection of CDs and cassettes. And last but not least, they offer almost any type of electronic ranging from tablets to cell phones, and sound recording equiptment to TVs! Everything and ANYTHING electronic is the theme of the store!! It's WELL WORTH the drive and time you will spend in the store looking through TONS of stuff that will trigger good old memories and honestly makes you feel super comfortable while strolling down memory lane. IT'S CURRENTLY MY FAVORITE PLACE TO SHOP!!! 😃😉😁

Irony: A demonstration. Upon walking to the threshold of this establishment, I saw a cop vehicle peeling into the parking lot. I ambled closer towards the store door only to find it locked... odd. The peeling policeperson slowly approached me and asked if I had been employed by the storefront. He was hot on the chase. I responded with a negative answer. The cop and I rapped upon the store door until an employee acknowledged our presence. Upon entering, the official went his way and I mine. I was riffling through the Japanese PlayStation import section when I overheard the law man and the store clerk exchanging words. The legal issue was that of theft. Apprently some shop regulars described as regular hoodlums had hoodwinked the staff several times and stole various video game consoles and games. That's really unfortunate for the store owners: I always hate to hear of people being taken advantage of... but, at the same time ALMOST THE ENTIRE PLAYSTATION IMPORT SECTION IS MADE UP OF BURNED DISCS. Copyright theft is real, and charging $39.99 for a BURNED copy of Metal Slug X is pretty advantageous... Anyway, other items are marked up way too high. I looked through full console setups the establishment was selling and you can get everything for a fraction (not 1/2) of the price online in better working condition (I'm looking at you Sega Saturn controller hanging on for dear life attached to a complete set for 149.99). They also sell (poorly burned and computer paper printed) Dragon Ball GT bootlegs from the early 2000s for an average of $5 an episode in their anime section! However, I will be fair and say they have a good selection of games... only because the prices are incredibly high. Travel 45 minutes and spend the extra money on gas and go to any other gaming store... Update: I guess the Japanese PlayStation 1 section I was going through for 30 minutes was a figment of my imagination since you don't sell imports... give me a break, it's to the immediate right of the regular PlayStatation 1 games. I've been collecting imported ps1 games for years and I know what I look through.

Absolute worst experience in my life! I never left a review in my life people, so please note for me to go through so much trouble it's was bad. I wanted to sell my 500gb uncharted 4 version PS4. Only reason I didn't go to gamestop is because I'm missing my controller, and they require the controller when selling a console. I call the owner up and ask him if he'll buy it off me he said yea. I show up there and he was very rude not inviting or welcoming at all. The place is the filthiest place of business I've ever seen.He offered me $40 for the console and had an bad attitude. When I said I wanted ATLEAST $150 he got very upset and we started go back n forth. He accused me of thinking he was stupid because I wanted what I wanted. It was just a bad experience please don't waste your time showing up here. There is nothing nostalgic about this place and prices are outrageous. Owner is trying to hustle everybody that walks in. Which is why his place of business sucks.

Walked in, fell in love! But like all relationships the devil is in the details, especially when it starts to talk. Save yourself the trouble STEAM, EBAY, AMAZON, GARAGE SALES, RUSSIAN HACKERS either way you'll be happier and have enough for another game left in your pocket when your done. Since it's obvious there will be some sort of reply from the - staff. I ask you this, why couldn't you be so civil when I was in the store? I watched you basically try to price gouge a mom because her 5 yr old daughter became excited and wanted some random POS Barbie game worth nothing. Thank god she didn't take the bait. Personal advice - sell the store buy a truck. Convert the small box truck into a mobile game stand and work flea markets, fairs and conventions. Not only will you get to see the country people will except your code of conduct(and prices) in these settings. Or you could just keep doing what your doing spending your time answering reviews on here instead of just trying to better yourselves as a business owner. Good luck!

I have only been to the Swap location located on Route 1 in Edison. Here, I have purchased a couple games on separate occasions. Each time has been a dream. My first purchase was a PS2 game that's kinda rare that I couldn't find anywhere else and was placed at a decent price. From exploring the store, you can tell that some of the prices are a little skewed. However, that's nothing a little bargaining can't fix! Both the owner, his wife, and their son are nice people who are willing to work with their customers accordingly. One things for sure is that there are a lot of items to pick up at this store; it's completely filled with stuff! In my opinion, Swap is a pretty good store.
