I hesitated to take my car to Tran Auto Repair after seeing the first review with a score of 0. I took a chance, and I am so happy I did. Best experience ever. My car did not pass inspection. Another place asked for $150. Still a different place did plenty of work, at decent price, and did not clear up the CO scores. So I brought the car to Long at Tran Auto Repair. Within a minute, Long identified a break in a hose, which he fixed in just a few more minutes. Car passed inspection on the third trial, thanks to Long's first attempt. Then, I asked Long about another problem that another shop said it would be quite expensive to fix, related to the transmission. Without even looking, Long asked me about 3 other related symptoms, because Long suspected the malfunction of a switch with 4 functions. He was right on, then he gave me the choice between a new part and a used one at great discount. Long is amazingly competent, courteous, and reasonable in cost. This is going to be the shop for all my cars now.

I've brought several of my cars to Tran Auto and every experience has been pleasurable. His rates are very competitive and he is more knowledgeable than most others.

I have a driver side front axle replaced here. The shop single owner put a bad rebuilt part. It still make "Ga Ga" noise at turning after replacement. 

I went back to his shop 5 times. Each time he tried to fool me and made me leave or give me a sky high quote for re-fixing it (much higher than the price I paid the first time). So I spent unnecessary money to replace the other side axle at a different shop, with a thought that it may be the problem. It turned out it is not. 

At the last time, he agreed to replace it for me, but still did not admit the axle was the problem. The part was still under warranty.  He said the labor was only an hour, no big deal, and asked me to bring the car the following day. I was happy and thought he would fix it for free. When I got there the following day, he still insisted to charge me labor. What the hell, I have to get it fixed. Even the problem was gone after re-replace the axle, he still said the previous axle had no problem - telling lie with eyes wide open. 

In summary, I suffered a lot emotionally and spend almost 3 times of the money than needed to fix the problem. He does not tell you the truth and does not keep his words. If you call him for a price, he will change it when you get there.

I have 3 cars, and Tran automotive has served me and my family well. He is a man of his word, and sticks by his price quotes. With confidence, I enjoy the repair experience, and plan on using Tran automotive in the future.
