We spent almost 11000.00 to bury my mom here they act like there guna give you a discount if you buy additional plotts but they dont we thought we had a balance of less 4500 and when we wanted to pay the rest off sandy english our funeral director who sold to us said remember your balance is not really less than 4500 its really 5800. I was so upset its like than why would you even tell me a price less than what i actually owe! Than after my moms funeral they want to charge me another 295.00 because the head stone design needs to be shrunk so everything would fit plus a 35.00 prossessing fee. This place is so upseting on top of all the money that we paied they still are trying to charge us even more its hard enough that our loved one past. Our family dont have money wr had tp ask for donations and we had to do carwashs for 4 weeks. I hate how greedy these ppl are and they take advantage of people they know that they want there loved one barried here!

Unfortunately my experience with Resthaven was bad from the beginning.   My very good friend had a contract with monthly payments for 5 years.  After her death I attempted to cancel the contract because her grandson from Florida wanted to make different arrangements.  He had been out of touch when the contract was signed.  I was told her grandson had to fax a note to have the contract cancelled.  This was done and still the monthly payments were deducted from her bank account.  The entire experience with the management of Resthaven was a nightmare and they showed no empathy for what the grieving family and friends were going through.  The last contact with them involved getting a notarized letter from her grandson cancelling the contract.  Only then would they refund one monthly payment and not the deposit because that was "equity" for future use.  They have very poor business ethics and should never be recommended.

I worked for West Resthaven for about 2 1/2 months as a Family Services Counselor,  and went out on a medical.  My primary care physician was not going to release me to return to work until having certain lab results came back, and when I was released to come back to work I notified my supervisor that I would be back to work the day after Memorial Day.  I had also kept the supervisor informed the entire time I was off work regarding my status.  I was off work approximately 3 weeks.  I was never contacted by anyone at the facility one way or the other, and when I returned to work, the first thing my supervisor said to me was, "did you get the letter?"  Apparently he mailed me a termination letter via registered mail and I had not received it until the afternoon of the day I returned to work.

My mother in law bought a plan from this funeral home many years ago, it included a voucher to help with the cost of her funeral.West Resthaven refused to honor this voucher.West Resthaven Funeral Home you are a rip off and I will tell everyone I know about this.
