This was an amazing place to stay! It was so quaint and personal. Ike, the host, was so sweet and he has many cool stories to tell. The room was so spacious and beautiful! There is so much history in this bed and breakfast and it was much more fun than staying in just a regular hotel. They have a nice pool table downstairs, a big screen tv, and a dart board that is fun to do at night. The breakfast was delicious and we felt right at home. Definitely would stay here again!!

Absolutely wonderful experience! Clean and comfortable room, delicious breakfast, warm and welcoming staff are among the many reasons this place has been voted the best in the area. The hospitality shown to the guests is by far the best we have received. They are food allergy and dog friendly, to boot! Will certainly be returning when we come back to Williamsburg.

We stayed here for two nights for a W&M event in the John Smith suite. Very nice B&B with interesting decorations, many spaces to hang out in, and little amenities like a coffee/cocoa machine and an array of snacks. Mattresses were comfortable. We will definitely return. While the home looks old, if I understood it correctly it was constructed in the 1970s to look like an old Colonial home and then several additions expanded it over the years. The host, Ike, is an interesting fellow -- be sure to ask him about the woodwork which his late wife personally crafted, she was obviously very skilled. Lori cooked delicious breakfasts and accommodated special dietary needs. They were gracious about letting guests invite their students to join in for the breakfasts. The location is convenient enough to the campus, and a 1 mile walk from Colonial Williamsburg. We stayed at The Cedars once before, which is 3 minutes closer to campus, but that B&B was not quite as nice and the breakfast was definitely was definitely a notch below Lori's cooking.

Best b and b I have ever stayed in! The owner made us feel right at home, and the food was amazing. We will definitely stay with them again!
