Colonial Williamsburg; the interpretive village is fun. $40.00 for a day... OK. Still fun. Not Disney! Meaning; Do not expect the towns folk / actors to NOT break character. Don't think that you would gain anything beyond a 5th grader's level of history and historical interpretation. The compound is faded and tired (though appreciated that it is still there and not plowed under for a housing development.) None of the products they sell under their brand are actually produced or manufactured there. For instance the "Colonial" rugs are made in India. The silver works I have seen in New Mexico. Don't Expect much, don't hold them to a very high standard and you will be completely satisfied. Three stars for achieving nominal expectations.

Super friendly staff. Super convenient to Colonial Williamsburg. You can check in, walk to old town, come back to the hotel for a break, and then venture back to old town. Great gift shop, productive ice machines, convenient cafe and tavern. Really nice.

The facilities are very nice. Staff is WONDERFUL. Amenities are top notch. Planning on staying again next year. And next year there will be more time in the spa, we will take advantage of the bike rentals, try new restaurants again - takes more than a week to try all the wonderful places here.

I stayed here with my aunt and two kids. The grounds and amenities of this accommodation are so lovely! There were Crepe Myrtle blooming as well as other flowers. The pools and fitness areas were great and we were within walking distance to Williamsburg. We got the breakfast included option and there was a large selection of food to choose from. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were small but that didn't bother us.

The hotel is quite clean, and the staff is friendly and professional as can be. I however am slightly disappointed, in that the most basic of amenities are not provided to guests. Most rooms are devoid of a refrigerator and microwave, which even budget motels provide to their guests. This is made all the more disappointing by the fact that the Williamsburg Lodge costs nearly 4 times as much per night as a budget motel and offers even less. I will stay here again, however due to the lack of basic comforts I am not able to travel light. I must bring my own toaster, microwave, and mini fridge for future stays. I rate my over all experience as 3/5.
