The Aldrich House was the perfect place for our weekend getaway that was still close to home. The house is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. We stayed in the Lewis room. It was cozy and comfortable. Breakfast on both mornings was delicious and filling. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful. I would definetly stay here again and also recommend it to anyone.

We just finished a wonderful four-night stay at the Aldrich House B & B. Let me begin with location. We arrived in Williamsburg on Amtrak and had absolutely no need for a car during our time here. The B & B is located 4 blocks from Colonial Williamsburg - an easy walk. We stayed in the Anderson room for one night and the Patton room for 3 nights (due to the College of William and Mary homecoming weekend the night we arrived). Both rooms were tastefully decorated, meticulously clean and exceedingly comfortable. We began each morning with a bountiful and delicious breakfast prepared by Tom and enjoyed interesting conversations with the other guests and received the benefit of Tom's extraordinary background knowledge of the historic triangle area (Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown). Sue and Tom went out of their way to make everyone feel at home, had great recommendations on places to eat and made sure that we were able to make the train on our departure morning without a hitch. We would absolutely stay at the Aldrich House B & B again and can confidently recommend it to others. In our search for Williamsburg accommodations in advance of our trip, we read a less than positive review of the Patton room. We had none of the issues mentioned in that review with the exception of the sounds of the train, which we actually enjoy!

Simply amazing! Soo many rooms to choose from - this property was much larger than I could have Imagined !! Our room was Ample, oversized, fully functional and boujsi!!! The grounds are filled with gorgeous signs and a small wonderful garden where the local animals layout and enjoy the grass and shade!! Who do you know other than SNOW WHITE who can stand 2 feet from a deer almost Magical!!! The Aldrich House B&B was so close to Colonial Williamsburg which was absolute amazing and cuts down on the hustle of trying to find a parking spot if you had decided to stay far away in a hotel !! Our host Made the best oldtimey Breakfast and made adjustments to my very specific needs when consuming food ! The beds are amazing , also the murals in the GRANDROOM were stunning - I think the best surprise was that the Host (Thomas) is an official tour guide of the Historical Triangle... so we did not have to tour Colonial Williamsburg in some crowded group of strangers!! Amazing Property will be back!

My family has stayed at the Aldrich House B&B - Tom and Sue Patton's home - for over 10 years. They are warm and welcoming hosts who make every effort to accommodate travelers' needs. As long-time residents, they are also especially knowledgeable about the Williamsburg-Jamestown-Yorktown area. Tom worked for Historic Jamestown in years past and is currently writing an historical novel about the area. Their home is a comfortable, smaller B&B located less than a 5-minute walk from Colonial Williamsburg. It features 3 guest rooms, as well as lovely common areas for lounging, reading, and meeting fellow travelers. Because we usually travel with our adult daughter, we stay in the spacious Anderson Room on the second floor, which features two king beds, a large chest of drawers, a clothes closet, a writing desk, two comfortable wing chairs, a large bench, and a private bath with a shower/tub combination. It's a great place to relax after a day of walking through the Historic District. Members of my family have also stayed in the other two rooms and found both of them to be very comfortable. This is a B&B that lets guests choose their level of sociability. The rooms offer privacy and are great places to put one's feet up and relax. If feeling sociable, the spacious living room at the back of the house is a lovely place to congregate while waiting for breakfast or just to share conversations with other guests. The last two times we have stayed there, we met European travelers - a couple from England and one from Italy. With only three guest rooms and a limited number of guests, it's easy to fall into interesting conversations. The best thing I can say about the Aldrich House is that it's our home away from home while in Williamsburg. We never fail to come home - relaxed and refreshed - and ready to plan our next visit.

Wonderful experience! The Aldrich house was our home away from home! After our long drive from northern Delaware, my husband and I arrived at the Aldrich house very late in the evening. The Pattons accommodated our late arrival by leaving the lights on for us and arranging for us to pick up our keys after hours. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of our room (the Patton room) and the adjoining bathroom. Aesthetically, the room was decorated beautifully. If you are fond of history and art you will certainly appreciate the detail that the owners have put into the Aldrich house. Breakfast was served at a designated time each morning. I can be very picky about food (because I enjoy it so much), and yet I must say that I had zero complaints about the food or its service. The dining room table was beautifully set, which made my husband and I feel like special guests. The first day we were served crepes with a seasoned egg dish, Canadian bacon and a delicious fruit salad. The next day waffles were served in lieu of crepes. The host and hostess were very knowledgeable about the local attractions as well as the general history of Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. My husband and I adored the fact that we could walk to colonial Williamsburg from the Aldrich house in the blink of an eye. As a side note, I truly appreciated the fact that a t.v. was not the focal point of the living room (would have taken away from the nostalgia of visiting a colonial town). We will definitely return to the Aldrich house for the Grand Illumination in December!
