Worst service ever. One guy in my front in the line and it never goes forward. People are so slow in this location. Then when it is your turn they say there is no reservation. You then show them your cell phone with their fancy Avis app with the reservation that was confirmed 2 days in advance. Then they take about 10 minutes extra to figure that out and give your another car, different than the one assigned to you. They need to make all paper work that should be already done. Terrible. Their fancy app has no value. Just makes things more difficult. You are supposed to spend no time to get your car, but that’s not true.

Have rented from this location many times. It inevitably takes me 20 minutes from start to finish in the winter time.  Why?

Despite the fact that they know they have lots of customers rolling in first thing Monday morning, anytime it snows, the parking lot is unplowed, the cars are not in the spaces in front where they should be for Preferred customers, they don’t turn the cars on to warm them up for you (Which is nice to have, but important when the temperature is 0°F), or even bother brushing the snow off. 

To say nothing of actually washing the cars clean, which would be ideal.  

Probably the worst experience I have ever had with an Avis location.  and all the more incredible because it seems to be standard operating procedure, not just a one-time thing, had a location that seems to be focused on business customers (who know how it “should be”) as opposed to vacation business.

I made a reservation online at 3:30pm for an SUV for a 5:30pm pickup. I then realized I was going to need the car a mere 15 minutes earlier than that so I could be sure to have enough time to get my son at daycare. I called and politely asked if I could get the car 15 minutes earlier and was rudely told "You're car will be ready at 5:30. You can come earlier but your car won't be ready." Poor customer service.

Two rentals and two bad experiences. In the first one I was charged an extra day and late fees because I returned the car back on a holiday. Totally avoidable if they would have told me. I followed the agreement perfectly and their company policy still punished me. The second one happened yesterday. I rented a car and and took it home. I later hopped in the car to realize it smelled like dog poop that had been dug out of the garbage can. They had closed and I needed to leave....I was late to my date because I needed to clean the car and buy  TWO air fresheners to camouflage the offensive aroma.  I mentioned it at the counter when returning the car and was basically ignored. Another customer overheard and said her rental smelled like wet dog.

I've had good experiences with this Avis location. My only criticism is that sometimes there seems to be a long wait when picking up a car. It's great that this location has a drop box for returning cars outside of normal business hours, as it allows me to be flexible with travel plans.
