Michigan residents have to pay an additional security deposit for some unexplained reason. They didn't bother to explain their complicated payment policy regarding the use of debit cards. Also, they didn't bother to explain their policy on out of state license. Plus, the plaza is far from esthetically pleasing. They don't let you get your car early either. 200 dollar drop fee if you go one way. Make sure you ask and understand the second authorized driver policy. You must have a credit card.

Because of the OUTSTANDING customer service at the Portage locations (airport and Yellow Brick Rd) I will not rent from anyone else.  I have driven out of my way to rent from these locations due solely on customer service!  (I say this from the heart - not because I know anyone and want them to look good on a review)

Service recovery good, but initial experience was terrible

I reserved two car seats (specifying sizes needed) and even called the day before to confirm that the one infant and one toddler seat would be available. I was traveling alone with a newborn and a 3 yr old , flying from SLC to visit my sick grandmother. When I arrived, the Enterprise/National staff offered me a booster and an infant seat-- not what I reserved. That is all they had available. To put my 28lb 3 yr old in a booster (for min 40lbs) would be illegal and very unsafe. To make a long story short, 2 hrs and a trip to Target later (by me) I was finally able to leave the airport with my kids. The gentlemen and lady staff were apologetic and nice but were unable to solve the problem. This is a system issue that needs to be fixed by Enterprise-- no parent should ever be put in this very unsafe situation.

My reservations agent Jared Stocx made my experience a very pleasant one. My car was upgraded, clean and beautiful.

As always I walked away happy that I selected Enterprise.

The service both pickup and delivery was fine.  I was concerned however, about 2 things.  viz. 1.) the satellite radio was discontinued  about a week into the car rental period.  Apparently, the subscription ran out?!!  When I mentioned at return desk, I got little response...not even an apology!  2.) I had rented the car for about a week ($240/week).  However, the family funeral arrangements, which brought me to Kalamazoo, MI in the first place,  were changed and required me to stay 4 days longer.  When I received my billing via email, I found that the daily rental charge was $12.50 more per day.!  So be sure to watch the fine print I guess.  Also no explanation nor caring was made. Desk attendant was too busy with customers to talk with me.  I have used Enterprise several times over the past couple of years and was very disappointed in the service this time around.  Not sure whether I will repeat my use of Enterprise.
