The van we rented supposed to be out of road before fix it. In this hot summer   a/c knob was broken. Front tire on driver's side was completely warn out from inner side so during our trip we were worried about if something happened to that tire what will happen. After driving 200miles change engine oil signal came. On top of that budget customer service department sent me email that we are sorry.

I recently had a negative experience with Budget Car Rental on Superior Avenue in Cleveland Ohio.  I'd like to stress it was not the Budget agents at the location.  The agents there were very professional and nice.  My problem was with a Budget car rental policy.  I called customer support BEFORE I returned my car to make sure I had no problems.  The customer service rep told me I would have no issue.  When I returned the car, I had a problem.  The agent at the counter could not do what I was told could be done by the customer service rep over the phone.  Again, the agent was very nice.  When I received a survey to complete about my experience with Budget, I explained the issue I encountered.  The very next day I received a response from Jeremy Jernejcic, Budget, Territory Performance Manager.  He quickly resolved my problem to my satisfaction.  Now that's customer service!

After reserving a car five months in advance, Budget did not have the car read on the pick-up date.  We had to spend a night in a motel at our cost.  When we went to pick up the car the next day, they did not have the car we reserved.  We were then charged $200 more for the car than the reserved price.  After calling customer service, we were told the rental cost would be corrected and they would give us $100 off the rental.  But when we dropped off the car the agent said he could not give us the reduced price and we would have to contact customer service again.  Overall.... very poor service.

Do not rent a car here. First of all the car smelled like cigarettes. Why is that even allowed. I had prepaid for this rental and when we got to the place my ID wouldn’t scan, which was wild bc I just flew to Cleveland and TSA scanned it perfectly. The guy just said yeah I can’t rent you this car. Even though my ID was valid, I had a credit card and it was already paid for. But yeah their system didn’t allow it. So the person I was traveling with had her ID scanned and it worked. Which was great, car was paid for. Oh no they charged us $430 to rent the same car for the same amount of time because it had to be changed to a day of rental. Their system is flawed and certainly only benefits them since they got an extra $130 for the cigarette smelling car that was given to us with a half a tank of gas in it. Customer service on the phone and in person was less than one star, I will never recommend this location to anyone and never rent from budget again.

This location at 18th and Superior has rude guys working and they try to charge extra at the time of returning the car. They wanted me to clean a car that they didn't issue to me fully vacuumed. I didn't need the trunk so it didn't matter to me that it was partially vacuumed when I got it. But I had I known that they'd try to charge me for the cleaning of it I would've told him to take it back and clean it correctly when I rented it. Me trying to be understanding that they only had two guys working I chose not to give him a hard time about it not being fully vacuumed out. They also upgraded my car because they didn't have the initial size I reserved. So maybe he thought he would get the extra money by threatening the vacuum fees. But I won't rent from this branch again

After pre-paying for an eight-day car rental I’m getting no refunds and no credits for returning it after only one day because of an unexpected change of plan. This was made absolutely clear by two customer service reps. An unbelievably unfair policy.

The representatives at the Downtown Cleveland/Superior Ave. location customer service is terrible. They’re not friendly at all and they tried to pressure me to take a vehicle with front-end damage—not scratches but a vehicle that had obviously been in a collision

Avis is trash they have too many different rules at different places unbelievably horrible I've rented cars at Avis b4 and now my credit didn't go through yeah right my credit score is between 686 and 714 how in the world can I not rent a car with my debit card smh don't rent cars from Avis or budget

This was the absolute worst rental car experience I've ever had. The female worker was rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. She was difficult and had an attitude during the entire transaction.

No stars for this experience they say you can use your debt card at certain location's when you  get there  not so drove all over Cleveland in hopes they would honor reservation seems like I'm not the only one as I stood there waiting another customer  was complaining of money owed for them not honoring their contract  sad to say Budget use to be to me at the top of the rental game truly I  hope they'll get back to the quality they once shared! Oh didn't  you couldn't give a company no star!!!Go figure so how are you to be honest if a company doesn't deserve it!!!!!!!!
