I don't understand what Indian Consulate is doing for ACICS issues being faced by INTERNATIONAL INDIAN STUDENTS. Its so terrible and painful that Indian Government and Consulate is not even interested to look up at the matter. They are so many students who took bank loans and come to US, just to get a valuable degree. And going back to India with zero value degree in hand. US government will not understand our hardships. But how is my country people different then them.  Its a shame that we lack that back support from our country.  And our voice will not have a say because we don't have reference to reach higher officials.

Great experience the second time around for passport services. I don't understand why people are cribbing so much! Send the right documents in, and you should do just fine.

Do not expect them to answer the phones, check  voice messages, return  calls or emails. I actually do not think anyone shows up to work there.

It is a pretty sad story.I am a us citizen for over 30 years got PIO card too. I got US passports replaced in 1 Day. To visit India for a tourist visa for a stolen passports it is taking forever with terrible online and outsourced services,   Calls get answered in India,. Current or historical documents are not accessible to staff in India or in San Francisco? No phone communication  between them. It seems like we are talking to some Robots. First time I charged visa for 10 cents because CKGS can not afford to pay for photocopy... Please charge fees adequate to cover costs to do business not to trouble with cheap programs and outsource services, We have businesses to run too. Well, Can't visit India be it. Saddened really.

Be careful to use the ckgs visa service!! They just send automáticamente mails and promises over the phone. Better go to the embassy!
