This place is amazing after driving all night to find that the room we booked at another hotel was not kept for us we were stuck with four kids and no where to sleep. We drove around for 2 hours looking for a hotel that had vacancy. When we stopped at Dunes village Tony at the front desk took care of us. She was amazing!!!! After I told her what happened she worked on getting us a room ready asap. Not only did she have us a room in 2 hours (mind you we booked it at 8 that morning) but she upgraded us to a Penthouse!!! Tony you and your staff made my mother's day amazing for me and our family. Thank you so much!!! I will forever be a loyal customer just cause of your hospitality.

My family had an amazing for spring break in April. The resort is friendly ,prompt and accommodating. There is room service at this hotel from there on site restaurant , also each room is equipped with stove full size refrigerator sink in addition to a separate vanity area . The downside there is no one to help you unload your luggage necessarily and take it to your room but there is an option to choose valet parking for a fee there are two heated indoor pools with slides, a Oceanfront playground, Oceanfront outdoor pool. Most of all I really enjoyed the daily kid activities, some activities did require a small fee but we literally did not have to leave the resort in order to enjoy Myrtle Beach next time I will take more time to participate in the resort kid activities versus spend additional money for activities in Myrtle Beach I highly recommend booking this hotel.

This is a great place to stay for the price and location. It is way cheaper than Great Wolfe and you have the beach for a view. I always go off season and get the 2 bedroom with ocean views. It is kid and adult friendly. It has lots of stuff to do and being able to go between both buildings is great.

Been to the Dunes Village Resort for the third time this week. Never been disappointed. The customer service is top notch. From the housekeepers to bartenders to servers to front desk receptionist everyone is so welcoming and helpful. Love the indoor/outdoor pool area and direct access to the ocean. The rooms are nicely decorated but could be upgraded in the future if needed. Besides that I will be returning again in 2019.

Drug den masquerading as a "Family resort". Particularly tough to tolerate on the weekends. We are 9 days in to our 10 day stay and witnessed a 3 year old boy walk through a marijuana cloud in broad daylight. Management unresponsive and ineffective. At one point, two groups were smoking pot at 2 of the 3 piers in broad daylight, literally on the pier where everyone must pass within a foot of another to get on the beach. They had their own kids around when they were smoking so you know already how little they cared for everyone else's. Called property manager 5 days ago when witnessed... still waiting on that call back. Not uncommon to smell pot in lobby, elevators, and out on the patios (supposed to be no smoking of any kind). I won't hold my breath. Long story short: good amenities but health and safety hazards too large to overcome. We wont be back. Not surprised to see them pushing condo sales for units here as owners are off loading. Recommend families avoid. Pros: good sized rooms, breakfast is delicious at $9.99 per person, pools are clean, parking. Cons: Drugs, management, hotel restaurant.
