I have had to rent a car for going on 3 months, while my two vehicles have had work done on them. Malek and Jerry have been the best throughout the whole ordeal. They are always SO pleasant and friendly to talk to. They know you by name when you walk in the door. Even if it wasn't the only place to rent from in this area, I would still go to them. I would recommend this location to everyone. Prices are great, Customer service is their number one feature. Thank you very much!!!

Rent here only if you have a plan B. I am an Enterprise Plus member & rent cars here regularly. The staff is friendly. They've been helpful for the most part. However, I would advise making your reservation at least 2 weeks in advance & crossing your fingers. If you make a reservation 2 days ahead, chances that they will not have a car available for you are high. They will wait until an hour before your reservation to let you know. Also, I've made reservations with plenty of time in advance. Only to arrive & they tell me they don't have any cars available. THEY DO NOT HONOR RESERVATIONS!!! I would advise making a reservation here & one at the branch in Clayton. Where they honor reservations better. I make a reservation here & in Clayton every time as a backup plan. It's a shame that the folks in Clayton already know me for this. I've had to make the 30 minute drive to Clayton on various occasions to get a car, because Smithfield did not have one for my reservation. A complete, unprofessional inconvenience. 

This was not a problem for me when Tommy was at this branch. Unfortunately he has moved on. 

Recently, I rented a vehicle from Wednesday to Thursday & also had a reservation for Friday to Saturday. When I went to return it on Thursday, Jerry suggested that I keep the vehicle for the night & just use it as/for my next reservation. I told him, I'd rather come back in the morning & pick it up so that I wouldn't get charged for the day (Thur-Fri). Being that I'd keep it overnight & technically, it equals another day of "use." Jerry shook my hand & told me not to worry about it, that he would back-track & make sure I wouldn't get charge for the extra day. I returned the vehicle on Saturday as we agreed. Only to get a receipt on Monday reflection a $400+ charge to my CC. I was charged for 4 days instead of the 2 or 3 that my reservations were for. I'm not sure if the mistake was genuine or not, but it made a $200 difference to my pocket. When I stopped by on Monday to talk to Jerry, he "did not remember" that he had made this suggestion and assured me that what I was charged was correct. Although, it was technically correct. He had assured me I wouldn't have to pay for the suggestion he had made. I'm so used to these "issues" at this branch that I just simply ate the cost.

The staff are amazing!!! I rent from them every time I need to go out of town and they always give the best customer service... And the cars are up to date and very clean.

Shockingly horrible service at the Smithfield NC location.  They canceled my car after I unfortunately ran slightly late and had nothing left to rent me.  I made this reservation 3 months in advance of my vacation, and they email confirmed me 1 month before, and they call confirmed me the afternoon before, yet when I arrived, as I said slightly late, they informed me they rented my car.  A simple call to me before doing that would have had me there in ten minutes to complete my rental.
   When I expressed my concern about how horrible this was, the "manager" (who would not disclose his name?!) told me he could help,  but refused to do anything to help and that we needed to leave his store.  He is a clown, and his store is a joke.  In enterprises defense we did manage to rent a car from their Goldsboro location to save my vacation and it was a great experience and the woman who helped me there was amazing and could give that other ignorant caveman lessons in customer service.

The Smithfield location is awesome! The staff is friendly, and they go above and beyond to make your car rental experience pleasant and first-class. They add personal touches in their outstanding customer service that you won't find in other rental companies or in the larger locations. I highly recommend this office!!! You will not be disappointed.
