Recent weekend rental started off a little disconcerting, however; I greatly appreciate their policy;“We'll pick you up”. The management team Corey, Frederick and Joy, were all very professional, courteous, and accommodating. In each instance when working with the public it's important to give honest feedback; there is always room for improvement and growth, comparative overall; Enterprise provides an exceptional service and it was a delight to work with the Durham Enterprise Team. My wife and I just lost her 94 yr. grandmother in Virginia suddenly this past weekend the day before our one year wedding anniversary. So, we needed to rent a car quickly. We chose this location because it was local to us and us being young and inexperienced in rental cars, we didn't know what we were getting into. When we got there they tried to blow us off and rent us a Dodge minivan with this "Oh, well" attitude. Soi said we'd just go somewhere else. Then he tried so hard to stop us that he said he had a Hyundai out back that another couple had just dropped off. He then said they were smokers and that they had made quite a mess inside of the car. But being young and in a hurry we looked at it and other than the wear and tear there were stains all over the seat of this car. It hasn't been properly cleaned. And he kept talking about the smoke smell. But we just needed to be at the funeral in three hours in another state so we took it. My wife's bank wouldn't authorize them to charge her card because of something shady they had seen about this place at some point on their computers. So we had to run all over to get a money order and the guy then said we'd have to put $200 on the deposit, but he said "to help y'all out in this situation" he'd just need $100 instead. So we do it, go to the funeral, and come back and the problem that happened next is that he then told us when we got there to return the car that it would take us 6-8 weeks to get our money back through the mail. Knowing that we had really needed that money and he should've told us that before hand instead of worrying about just throwing something on us. So now they put us in something in that kind of shape and kept our deposit. And who knows what they might try to do to just screw us out of our money. They seemed shady like that. They even had some interesting conversations while we were in there renting. The only reason I'm posting this is because they have no conscience and didn't treat us well at all.

These guys work hard and have a great attitude. They are short-staffed, which sometimes causes long waits, but they do everything in their power to accommodate. Their "can-do, will-do" attitude is what keeps me renting from them, a half-dozen times a year, or more!

Rented a car to use via insurance until our car was out of the shop. Enterprise contacted my elderly mother that she would be reported to the police for car theft at an hour until closing. The insurance company and Enterprise were in contact, but nobody thought to contact her that her car was ready to be picked up, so this was completely unexpected. With only an hour to return it, we were stuck in an unfair situation where she couldn't have made it to Enterprise in time. Had to call around and get an extension for her. Got the extension just fine and returned the car as promised. But now, an employee is saying that the car was returned with damages when there were none before dropping it off. Seems like someone there is trying to run a scam on people. Be mindful when renting a car from this place. Was thinking about renting another car in the future, but we won't be renting from here again. It threatened our livelihood because we needed the car for the family and we already don't have that much money to deal with falsely accusations and also pay for alleged damages. We're just honest people trying to live.

Poor Service. Corey, the branch manager, was rude and complicated the rental without explanation. He even implied that he did not want my business. They need new management at this branch. You know the feeling when you walk into a room and feel unwelcome from the start? Well this is a great example of just that. I've recently moved to North Durham, so this enterprise is my closest option for a rental car. I've been renting enterprise vehicles for the past 9 years. I usually go to RDU airport, or the Hillsborough rd. location, but instead, I thought it would be the most logical decision to rent from the smaller location nearest to me, contingent upon vehicle availability. With a reservation booked prior, I attempt to make the pickup of a 15 passenger cargo van, yesterday. Now keep in mind I've recently moved, so they request a utility bill, since I'm paying with a debit card, but knowing the addresses do not match; the branch manager, Corey, told me that I am unable to rent the van. I explained to Corey, that I've been renting from the Hillsborough rd. location for the past year consistently, and I was only asked to provide the utility bill as verification the first time renting. Corey immediately implied that this was against Enterprise policy, and after I politely questioned the inconsistencey between branches, Corey immediately implied that I take my business elsewhere. He was very short tempered, and extremely rude. Not only was I surprised that an Enterprise branch manager would turn away a loyal customer, but there was no logic. So, I called the Hillsborough rd. location, and easily found out that the reason was legitimate; 15, or more, passenger vehicles require credit card payments. Now I understand company policy when I am given a logical explanation, but the way Corey represented Enterprise, especially as a manager, is the reason why I will no longer rent vehicles from Enterprise. I'm not sure if they are aware, but there are plenty of other options for rentals.
