I usually have great service, but not so much this time. While waiting for our turn to complete the "walk around" I overheard the two agents discussing cars to be given out. More than once it was brought up that this person paid with a credit card and the other with debit. Keys were moved around a couple of times. I was given an economy sized car when I reserved a compact. Guess which person I was. Upon return I mentioned this to the agent (one of the two agents day of rental). His response was to deny the car is considered the smaller classification. Hoping for better customer service next time-more like in the past because usually Enterprise is an easy and smooth rental process.

My wife and I rented a mid-size SUV from Enterprise. I have rented from so many other companies. This was by far the worst experience. It all started when I made a reservation online for the rental. When we arrived to Enterprise, they told me that the mid-sized SUV we reserved was not available and that they tried to call me to let me know. I never received a phone call. My wife and I waited for about 30 minutes to get our mid-sized SUV. When we had it, an Enterprise agent walked us through the features of the SUV. Never EVER have I ever had a rental car company's agent interrogate me so much about my car insurance and wanting to know the fine details of my car insurance coverage. One day later, my wife was driving the vehicle(my 3 year old son was also a passenger) when she was struck by another driver(vehicle). The accident was 100% the other driver's fault. The other driver acknowledged it, the police on the scene wrote that in the police report as well. My wife also called Enterprise to ask about everything they needed(police report and claim number). My wife sent all of that information by text(pictures) and phone on the spot. An enterprise agent told us that it is taken care of and that they have received all of the information. The accident was bad enough that we confirmed with Enterprise our rental was not driveable. Enterprise agreed that we should get it towed. Enterprise told us that it would take 1 day for another vehicle to become available. We told them that we weren't interested in that. Fast forward a few weeks, and we receive a letter from Enterprise. On it, it states that Enterprise has reviewed our case and they have determined that we are responsible for the damages on the vehicle. Along with the letter is the bill of all of the repairs that were made on the SUV--over $4500 worth of repairs that we would be responsible for and that payment was due. This is an outrage! The rental agent that my wife spoke with on the day of the accident told her that it's possible that the people who reviewed this case didn't receive all of the documentation and that my wife was responsible for providing this(she already did very shortly after the accident!). We have yet to receive a call back clarifying everything and Enterprise accepting responsibility for their mistake. We DEMAND answers and an apology at the very least. We were not responsible for the damages to our vehicle. We have proof, and we are appalled that if in fact Enterprise didn't have all of the documentation, that they would determine that we are responsible for the damages--this would contradict all of the information on the police report. If all of the documentation hadn't been received by the proper party that was used to determine the responsibility of this accident, why weren't we notified that not all documentation was received? Earth to Enterprise....the POLICE can determine who is at fault....Not you. You can't go against something the police have determined. You can’t judge who is responsible for the damages to a vehicle if it contradicts a police report. You can say whatever you want, but at the end of the day, the police and the law have the final say, and that final say is very clear in the police report. I urge everyone--don't bother with Enterprise. I would have rather ridden a bicycle or walked everywhere than have my wife and myself deal with this hassle. I would give Enterprise negative stars, but that's not an option. We haven’t heard back yet--apparently this isn’t important to Enterprise. Well...let’s start making it important NOW! Let’s raise a big stink and let everyone know! DON’T DO ENTERPRISE!!!!! How would any of you potential customers like to receive a bill of over $4500 for something you didn't do if you became an Enterprise customer? This is putting it very lightly Enterprise....very lightly indeed.

Overall great experience. The customer service is nice and they always make sure to greet everyone once someone arrives. I can't rave enough about the experience. If you need a rental, I would definitely recommend renting from this Enterprise for sure.

My experience with this particular Enterprise has been horrible. My husband and I rented an SUV because our own vehicle had to be in the shop for a few days. When we got there, we had to wait a while before the SUV was ready. The next morning, I was hit by another driver who didn't look both ways before pulling into on-coming traffic. We called the police, and the other driver admitted 100% fault. I called Enterprise and told them what happened. The guy who answered the phone didn't even ask, "Are you OK?" but "Uh do you have insurance?" I was so insulted, so I called back and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with Joe, the guy who originally helped us. Joe at least asked if we were OK, and then he told me what I needed to do before leaving the accident. He told me to ask the other driver to start a claim with her insurance, and to get the claim number before she left. We did all of that. Joe asked me to text him pictures of the police report and the other driver's claim number. I did. Enterprise had the SUV towed. Joe told us it would be "a while" before we'd be able to rent another car because of some reason or another, and I reassured him we weren't interested in renting another vehicle. We paid for a 3-day rental and only got to use our SUV for less than 2 days. We weren't offered a refund. I was contacted by ELCO, a company that asked me questions about the circumstances of the accident. I told them everything that happened. and referenced the same documents I had texted to Joe. I asked if there would be anything more needed from us and was told since the other driver had accepted full responsibility and it was clearly her fault, we were good. Today I received a bill for $4,575.23 from Enterprise. The bill starts with, "We've found that you were at fault for these accidents and you must pay this bill." I was livid! Nobody with any sense could possibly reason that this accident was MY fault. I called Enterprise, and Joe answered the phone. I told him about this bill, and Joe said, "Is there an 866 number on the bill? You need to call that number. You probably didn't send them all the information they need to process the claim." I said, "What?! I sent YOU all the information you asked for! YOU were supposed to forward that information on to the people who needed it! And now YOU'RE just passing this problem off." Joe denied he didn't care, but this process has showed me how little Enterprise cares about their customers. I told him I would let everyone know about our experience. He said, "OK, good luck!" Joe is dismissive and insulting. Nobody at this location will help you. You will wait a long time to pick up the vehicle that you requested online. And if you unfortunately get into an accident with your 3-year old son, like I did, nobody at Enterprise cares if you or your son are OK. Nobody bothers to try to refund you for the portion of the rental you couldn't use, even though it wasn't your fault. Nobody will reassure you that everything will work out fine. Enterprise cares about their bottom line, and that's it. If you do have any problems at all, you're on your own. You'll be directed to call a number, be placed on a "brief" 20 minute hold, speak with someone who only cares about your claim number and not your name, be transferred to someone else because it's not that first person's problem, either. We have rented from Enterprise on nearly every summer vacation, but NEVER, EVER again will we rent from Enterprise. There are other rental options in Champaign -- please, pick any other place than this one.

I got in an accident with my own car 950 miles from home, and was directed to his rental agency by my insurance company. They picked me up, and incorrectly recorded the pickup address as my home address. They did not tell me that I would be charged a daily rate even though I had the rental for two weeks. The did not tell me that rate would exceed the maximum rate of $209 posted on the wall of the office by more than half. They did not tell me they had an agreement to charge vindictive penalties if the vehicle was used on any toll roads, regardless of whether you had your own EZPazz/I-Pass in the vehicle. I returned the car at home after 2 weeks when my rental replacement coverage ran out, even though repairs on my vehicle were not done for another week and a half. Then a few weeks later, they sent letters to the pickup address (NOT MY HOME ADDRESS) stating they would charge my credit card with $29.84 of inflated toll rates and fees, for what would have been about $4 in tolls if they just allowed me to use my own EZPass which I had on the dashboard when I drove the toll roads. I would give negative stars if I could, but one seems to be the minimum.
