How can the world's largest car rental company not have any cars?

THANK YOU ESPECIALLY TO TESSA VAN EPPS for your empathy and gracious help!!!!

We were stuck in Pendleton after our car lost its transmission in LaGrande...we had to be towed back to a car repair shop and found Hertz up the road at about 5:45 on a FRIDAY night!! They were just about to close and had NO cars left. 

We were moving across the country w/ 3 people and two cats w/ hotel reservations all along the way.....we had to get back on the road to start work in our new home asap. A guy pulled up in a small SUV literally as they were closing. Tessa stayed late to check the car in and give it to us--------even though she wouldn't now have enough cars for Monday---she totally recognized our big need to get going. She also got us the best deal she could by taking the time to ask some questions about potential discounts, etc

We are SO very thankful to Tessa for understanding our desperation and staying after her shift ended to help us out so quickly and with excellent customer service. THANK YOU!!!
