Imagine your most amazing fantasy car rental experience. Being picked up at the airport in the middle of the night, ON TIME!. Drive to office, ONE MINUTE AWAY. Sign, smiles, enjoy, twenty seconds to hotel. Wow!!!!
      I rented a crew cab pickup. I am am Oregonian. I am so stoked. WAY LESS MONEY THAN BIG GUYS.WAY MORE FRIENDLY, WAY BETTER PERIOD. 
     I had a great ride, paid less than I would have had to pay for a mosquito car. I don't care for most rental cars. TOO  SMALL. Did I mention this was a great experience? 5 stars all around.

The owner Steve and his wife look after their fleet lovingly, and those who they serve. He works on the automobiles and keeps them in fine shape. He picked me up at my motel and gave it to me for 2 weeks. On my last day I left it in the lot of a nearby hotel where Steve picked it up from the hotel staff the next day. This is personal and genteel service at bargain prices.

Very nice accomodating people, a wide range of cars, and hands down the best rates in Portland.  They do NOT charge extra for being under 25 (as long as you have full coverage), and they have Subarus for rent (two 2006 Outbacks I think).  Their rates for an AWD Subie, which is technically an SUV, were less than $50/day compared to over $70/day from a big chain.  They also put brand new studless snow tires on the Subarus, which NOBODY else does.  This obviously keeps you much safer in snow but also makes you legal for driving snowy mountain passes that require traction devices, like on the way up to Mt. Hood.  Since I started renting from Crown I have exclusively gone through them, I see no reason to even shop elsewhere.  If you're looking around for a rental don't make any final decisions until you've given them a call.  I wouldn't write a review like this if I didnt mean it
