Amazing service. The lady who helped us at pickup was wonderful. She helped sort out what our best option was from different discounts we had available. She was very patient while I sorted out an issue with my credit card company. It really gave a great start to my trip.

Vehicle return was a breeze and the car was fine. Pickup was not my favorite experience. It being 11pm after 12 hours of travel, also my first time renting a car. I don’t mean to throw anyone under the bus but the woman at the desk who assisted us shot my anxiety through the roof regarding no use of a debit card, up sales, and instilling the fear of not taking the up sale of protection insurance for the vehicle due to the possibility of a car accident and someone suing me for it. When a few more unfriendly remarks and general discomfort were over, we grabbed the keys and she had to add one more teeny detail to feed my already raging anxiety basically stating that if we do not know our way around Seattle, good luck because there are toll roads everywhere. Needless to say I left the counter a nervous wreck and actually was a nervous wreck the entire trip about the possibility of an accident. Even though I have insurance, full coverage, and everything would’ve been fine, being my first time renting, it was a bit nerve wracking. I’m assuming this scenario occurred because my boyfriend and I are both under the age of 35 and that can raise flags when renting a car for the first time. I also understand that this woman was also working late and could’ve been near the end of her shift. But I do believe that the situation could have been handled with a friendlier demeanor and helpful customer service.

Car was great and the check out guy was nice as well— but he failed to tell me the $30 insurance I was signing up for was PER DAY!! The cost of insurance was over $200 and was not explained to me at point of sign in. Leaving details to the fine print is not how to do good business. I won't rent from Hertz again.

I followed my sister to drop off her rental and I told one of the ladies, I'm not dropping off my car I'm following to take my sister home and she directed me to pull forward. I pulled forward made a slight lift attempting to align my car to the wall and I heard yelling from the lady aggressively, "WHERE ARE YOU GOING?! Over there, go that way!" She was rude. Even if I made the wrong turn, this is not how you treat customers. Then exiting the lot, the man rudely asks "I need your driver's license." I explained that this is my car and it is not a rental. He doesn't respond walks back to the back of my car, comes back and tells me "You can go, we don't have BMW's in our lot." We won't be coming back. Thanks Hertz, Seatac.

I travel a lot and need to get a rental car at least twice a month, every month for the last 6 years. I can honestly say I've never had a better experience than at this Hertz. We arrived Thursday evening around 8 and the man working the counter was wonderful; he was personable, friendly and got us out of there in no time. But what really makes the difference is the women when we returned the car! We were running late and didn't fill up the gas and they gave us directions to the nearest gas station because they didn't feel right charging us $9/gallon and then drove us to the airport!!! They were so amazing and I can't believe I didn't get their names. I will only rent from Hertz from now on because of this experience.
