Fraud or repeated mistakes?  I'm starting to think fraud.  Check your credit cards/debit cards.  I don't rent with extras, and always fill up my tank.  I always find extra charges on top of my rental charges attached to almost all of my transactions here.   Basically most of the guys try multiple attempt to run the cards and always screw up.   I haven't used them for about a year, and tried again last week.  Again I returned my car, and there is an extra 24 dollar fee on the card.  Also they try multiple attempts to charge the card and this can be flagged through my bank and causes a lot of problems. Then I have to call my bank and tell them it was not fraud, and then the bank tells me there are multiple charges.   These employees need to be trained on how to carefully use credit and debit cards, and not to swipe multiple times.  The hoops I have to go through after I leave here is amazing.  Also, they cannot multi task.  Don't talk all these awesome stories about YOURSELF, while you are screwing up my credit card.    The manager here acts like he's running a used car dealership.  One time, he told me, "Hey I'm cutting you a deal and helping you out" (when he upgraded my car).  Ok, right, I don't think so buddy. I'm over this type of incompetent customer service that is dripping with narcissism and carelessness.    Now I just rent elsewhere.

Lou saves the day. I booked through a third-party site and through no fault of Hertz, the return location was incorrect and changing it would increase the cost substantially. I was going to seek out another agency but by using my AAA account and some customer service magic, Lou found me a car at a competitive price and made my trip a whole lot easier. Thanks, Lou.

I am a Gold member which saves a lot of time.  You pay more, but for me it is worth not having to wait in line.  Find your car on the message board, load the luggage and go.

I had a great experience here.  I had prepaid through Priceline and simply came to the desk, checked in, and was on my way in a few minutes.  After hours return was easy.

Made reservation through Priceline. The receipt they gave me was at the same rate but my credit card was charged at double rental rate! Plus the attendance added DLW fees without acknowledging me when I was in rush. Called customer service, extremely bad attitude with full of contempt and keep talking without listening. They were negotiating with me about the money overcharged over the phone!? How it survives in this competitive market? Will never use Hertz.
