Beautiful place. Stayed here for about 4 days and it was very enjoyable. The rooms are clean and spacious. Lots of restaurants in the area and a short hop to the interstate. Unfortunately didn't try the breakfast. But no complaints from me

The hotel was awesome! Haad one of the upper floors. The room was quiet and clean. The associates at the front desk were very helpful.

I won a free night stay at the Hyatt Hotel Richmond West when I attended the "Love Story Wedding Expo" at Short Pump Town Center. At the time of the event, I spoke with Raymond Smith, the Director of Sales at Hyatt. He told me to book my one night stay with him, gave me his card, and assured me that I could book my complimentary night for the night of my wedding (11/17/18). I told him that I lived only 15 minutes from Short Pump, so the only night I would want to stay at the hotel would be my wedding night. I called today (10/26/17) to book my complimentary night, and it took me about 5 minutes to even talk to a live person. I asked to speak to Mr. Smith, but I was transferred to a different individual (this took an additional few minutes of waiting on hold). I explained my coupon that I had won, tried to book my complimentary night, but was told that the coupon would expire 10/1/18 (a month before my wedding night). I asked if I could speak directly to Mr. Smith since he had already agreed to let me book my wedding night, but I was told that the GM made that decision. I asked to speak to the GM and was put on hold for an additional 7-10 minutes. The same person came back on the line (not the GM) to tell me the same thing: the complimentary night must be booked before 10/1/18 and I couldn't use it for my wedding night. I told them that I would like to speak to the GM or to Mr. Smith. I was told that Hyatt would take my number and that the GM would only call me if there was "something she could do". This is probably the worst customer service I have ever received. I am so disappointed with my experience, and I would never recommend The Hyatt Richmond West to ANYONE. I certainly will no longer be booking my wedding block with them for my out-of-town guests. I have yet to hear from the GM, so they may be able to redeem themselves if they can honor what Mr. Smith originally told me and allow me to book my complimentary night on my wedding night. However, this interaction has left me with such a sour taste in my mouth. What a horrible company to treat potential customers this way.

Great modern rooms. Awesome breakfast and centrally located! Always a great time staying here!

We selected this hotel, due to the great reviews. I don't usually post reviews, however I felt it important to post my experience, due to this hotel having so many GREAT reviews??? Perhaps, staff is creating reviews for a good standing on Google?? However, our stay was certainly not as expected. The carpet was in poor shape, the room was dirty, the window seals were broken. Therefore we were not able to see the view they assured us we would have, due to the misty/fogged windows (during our entire stay). All we could make out was the roof top of the mall, certainly not a "Great View". There was also a moldy smell throughout the hotel. Not to mention the "Hot Breakfast Buffet" was not "Hot". It was room temp, as was the coffee. Upon checking out I informed the front desk clerk of my experience her response was "That's strange, we just had the hotel renovated in Feb."?!? I can testify that it did not appear to have been recently renovated! If this hotel was "renovated" in Feb. they need to hire a entire new staff, to maintain the property, because it was by no means in a "Like New" condition. Although the staff was polite for the most part, the stay was not. Certainly did not hold up the name, nor reputation of a "Hyatt House". Extremely disappointed with the Hyatt House-West- Short Pump, VA (Richmond, Virginia). Short Pump Mall Location.
