This hotel had a nice bar, seating area and free breakfast, which was full of options. I would give this hotel five stars except we did not have any hot water in our room. The evening front desk manager was not courteous regarding this and even questioned whether it was true, as "no one else called to say they lacked hot water". She said she'd send a maintenance man to check, which did not happen. We called back at 10:30 pm to check on this and were told the maintenance man came to our room and confirmed that we did have hot water. We were like, no, we have not left the room once and no one came. With a discourteous tone she said she'd send someone else. This time a man did come and he confirmed we had no hot water in our room. This man was courteous and said he'd make a note for the hotel manager. We did have hot water restored by 9 am, in time to shower and check out. We spoke with the hotel manager in the morning and he was very nice, discounted our room and spoke with us sincerely. I do not want to rate the hotel poorly due to one staff member who severely lacked customer service skills. So, with everything else in mind, this hotel is very clean, updated, all other staff members were great and I feel confident recommending it.

Very disappeared with the service at this location. We had booked an event and upon arrival they woman at the front desk knew nothing of the event. I had to show her a copy of the contract, so apparently it had never been put into the system, even though it was booked more than a month in advance. They had to call in people to get things set up. They allowed us in the business office to put our gift bags together, when we came out the woman at the front desk was watching videos on the front desk monitor. There were issues setting up the audio visual. Their projector didn't have an HDMI input, one of our people left to go to Staples to buy a projector and they offered to pay for it. They eventually sent one of their guys out to buy one, but that delayed the event even more. Of all the people that were sent to set things up, provide the continental breakfast and the av, only one person, Jonathan, ever apologized to us. I will never recommend them for any events whatsoever and am very disappointed with the level of service

I recently traveled to VA to visit some family and upon looking for places to stay, I came across the reviews for this hotel. After all the 1-star reviews I read, I happened to find the Youtube video that these reviews were based on. After watching the videos about this hotel, I would never consider checking in at this hotel or even any Wingate by Wyndham for that matter. It is clearly shown that even on a corporate level, they're not capable of handling issues responsibly. Customer service is about putting customers first, especially people with some sort of disability. It took a public video to expose them where it is clearly shown how arrogant and disrespectful THE MANAGER was being, for them to reach out and take responsibility. The insincere apology came off as shameless damage control where they offer a measly ONE night free stay without them actually apologizing and admitting they were wrong. They passed the buck and claimed that "they're not actually associated with them on a corporate level." I speak for a lot of people when I say that it would have been a lot more reassuring if they could just swallow their pride and apologize on behalf of the hotel for harassing a disabled guest and his service dog. Until I see some sort of appropriate response to all of this, I will continue to not only boycott your place of business, but I will make sure none of my family or friends ever patronize your hotel.

Be aware. DISCRIMINATION. Rude manager. Discrimination and arrogance. Hotel discriminates against people who need service animals. The employees are not properly trained. They are afraid of awful Titus. Not one of them could defend Drew Lynch with basic ADA training regarding service dogs. In addition, the hotel management further tried to hurt Drew's income by calling his employer. That was horrible and inexcusable.
