Property needs attention, but room was satisfactory.  It could have been cleaner and a flat screen TV would have been nice, but the micro/frig combo was larger than many others, the shower was great and rooms at the back are rather quiet.  The beds creaked every time you turned over, or try to get up quietly in the night, but the off season price makes it a true bargain!!!!!!

Hotel and room were both clean and well maintained. Easy access to bike path, which runs nearby.
Hotel gets some highway noise, which is probably common to all hotels along this strip of Hwy 50. Best option would be to get a room on back or one of the wings that doesn't face highway.
One concern with the specific room I was in was that with two beds, one bed seemed too close to wall heater.

We need to stay at Motel 6 because we have dogs, as I suspect do many people.  However, we actually think the Motel 6 in South Lake Tahoe is pretty nice.  The price is always reasonable and staff has always given us a room in the area we like.  The room is a bit small but efficient and always clean.  The WiFi could be better but it's usable.

Very minimalistic hotel. Carpet was ripped, the first room smelt like weed.We were moved upon our request. No shampoo or amenities.
Good for one night no more.....There are other hotels that might be much better for the same price around there.

Got what I paid for. Decent beds, running water, shower with a tiny bit of soap, cups that were individually wrapped. Walls were paper thin but we got a corner room which was great. The guy who runs the place at night, I think it was Jerry, was great. Really friendly and informational. He's the only reason I didn't give 3 stars. 160/night for Motel 6 is pretty lame though.. overall it was satisfactory
