National makes it easy to pick up and drop off the car. The biggest issue I have is the cars are often not very clean. My most recent car needed a good cleaning. The second problem that I encountered several times is if you need to talk to someone, it's hard to get through the phone system. Very frustrating. Should be easy to reach a human - especially for a business traveler that travels often.

I rented a car unexpectedly from the Austin, Texas based National Rental office.  I felt blessed, what timing.  Apparently it was Emerald Member Appreciation week and I got great service and upgrades.  I got a free tank of gas, no penalties from dropping off at another location and a great upgrade to an exceptional vehicle.

It was one of those experiences for which you have to take the extra effort and write a review. I missed my connection and was reaching there at 2AM. I called them and they said that there was another flight running late and the manager will stay open for me (unless my flight got delayed even more). Fair. My crappy airline took 10 additional minutes to line up the jetway door to the plane. However, I was in touch with Scott and he stayed late and made sure I had the car. And when I met him, there was not a sign of being annoyed at having to wait. When you travel and there are wrinkles, it is people like Scott who help to make sure that those wrinkles don't become really big creases. This location and in particular Scott, the manager, gets my really vote of thanks and great service. The car was also nice and clean and the return was pretty smooth.

Quick processing.. was in car in a matter of minutes. Drop off was just as easy. Great job National.

Always live using the aisle option.   It's the most affordable way of getting the vehicle you need for your trip.  Love using National at any airport.
