I would have given it 5 stars, but I paid for a full size Impala and got the LAST car in the lot (at 8pm) which was a Malibu.  But, the Malibu was excellent, great mileage, clean and brand new.  The service people were friendly both at check in and check out.  I can't complain since I used airline miles and was charged NO extra fees!

Highly recommend Thrifty.  Very fast as part of their Blue chip program, tied to airline, and quickly picked up a car with only 44 miles.  Check out and check in as quick as any other rental car companies, and price was much better.   Why not rent from Thrifty>.

I showed up at the counter with a reservation, Thrifty tried charging me almost double. They told me I had 5 or 6 cars to choose from. When I insisted they correct the issue, they came back with one car. Which was likely the worst car in the fleet. I looked at the other cars they originally were going to give me and they all were decent cars. This car however had nothing. Even the handle to roll down the windows was built poor to had to use your right hand to roll down the driver side window. 

I tried to extend my rental for two days due to a winter storm. The phone rep was rude and would not help me because my license number in the system was entered incorrectly by the original desk rep. So I had to drive all the way back to the airport in order to extend my rental. When I arrive there, I explained to the lot attendant I wasn't returning the car and was trying to extend the rental. He told me I could do it by phone and I just didn't have time to explain. So I get to the desk and explain I do not want to return, I only want to extend the rental. I am told they have to walk through the process of closing the rental in order to add the additional dates. I stressed again I wasn't yet returning as I still had more time on the current, but wanted to make sure I had it for the additional days. 

She assured me it wouldn't be a problem. I let her do her thing. She asked if I filled the tank, I again explained I did not because I hadn't planned on returning the car just yet. Anyway, she gets through everything and then tells me the new price is $65 a day. Which was not only 900% more than my original deal. Which I got a good deal, but $65 did not sound like an extension price, but more so other rentals were cheaper by over $20 a day. So I declined and asked for the keys and I would bring it back at the end of my rental. She advised that she couldn't let me drive off in the car because she had to close out the rental. 

I went to another rental dealer and got a car for $39 a day. Which was a great car, the rep was quick and got everything right on the first try. I won't be a jerk and name the other place, but let's just say this other place had an Advantage over Thrifty.

In terminal so it's easy pick up...usually good rates so it's my first choice!
