The employees there are very friendly and they always helped me which forms I need for my international shipments. And you always get a smile. The sole problem is the visible lack of funding. While offices in midtown seem to get more funding to be beautiful, this office looks like 30 years ago.

Always long lines, super slow sluggish service, USPS has a habit of not delivering packages to your door nor leaving them by mailbox, instead you just get a pink slip for pick up for a "delivery attempt" even if you were home, so after 45 min waiting in main (and only) line (cause the pick up window always closed) many times they will tell u your package is not there yet even day or 2 later... Simple measures can reduce the wait in this post office such as stamp purchase machine, self service station to weight, pay and mail packages (especially the flat rates priority), drop off window for pre paid/online labels and pick up window for packages. Yet nothing has been done all these years to improve service for this nightmare of post office. Avoid at all costs if you can or atleast bring some headphones and snacks cause you will be spending time on the line that always reaches front door.

*BEWARE OF THE ANGRY LETTER SLOT AT THIS LOCATION!* Just got screamed at by a voice from behind a wall for "pitching" my letters through the letter slot. After profusely apologizing to the letter slot, I was told, sarcastically, "well, it's YOUR mail", making me doubt that mail will be delivered on time or at all. This was one of my more fun experiences at this location. It's almost always bad—even approaching DMV levels of service (except for one employee, I think named Candice, who is super nice and helpful). Generally, the complaints here are all accurate.

Shortly after moving to the neighborhood I mailed quarterly tax payments INSIDE this location. They were stolen and cashed. Reported to USPS: Never heard a word. Every prior effort to privatize this agency has failed. Way past time to rethink and reorganize it.

Absolutely the worst post office I’ve ever lived near. First of all, the hours of operation are 8:30-5:30, so if you work a 9-5 job in midtown, good luck ever picking up a package they’re holding. And about that. If they can get into my building to deliver the mail, why not just leave plackages inside the door as well?
