Anyone who gives this post office one star needs to go to a post office in Chicago.  The employees here are friendly & helpful.
If there's a waiting line, it moves quickly. 
I've had one negative experience out of 100 positive ones at this post office.

Don't waste your time and drive to another post office like I did! Just go straight to Plainfield. They are super helpful, nice and very fast. I was in and out in less than 20 min for my passport. They do stop this service at 3PM so plan accordingly!

I dislike this Post Office tremendously ! I have spent a year telling them to stop putting mail for people that don’t live at my address in my mailbox, to no avail! This is ridiculous! I literally made 3 or 4 trips to the P.O. to give them back stacks of mail that the mail delivery person continues to put in my mailbox. This coming from the same mail person that wouldn’t even deliver “my” mail to me once I got here, until I filled out a form with the names of all the people that would be receiving mail at this address. So why ask me to fill it out, I still received mail for other people that were NOT listed on that form! I even spoke with a supervisor who assured me this would stop. It did for maybe a week and then it went right back. Their excuse was “oh there must have been a different delivery person”. But even after a week it continued. I went and spoke with this supervisor twice and that was back around Jan. or Feb.  It is now Nov. and it still happens. I decided to open a P.O. box and now I wasn’t told that there would be a delay of almost 2 weeks of me not receiving ANY mail. When you call to find information out or just get a clear understanding about this, your treated very rudely. No consideration for your inconvenience at all. They act like you are the problem. I can not wait until after my surgery, if I have to drive 50 miles I will get my mail away from this crazy, ignorant place. You always hear jokes about the people that work there “going postal” and this particular post office is definitely the reason why!!!!!  I intend to file a formal complaint with the Post Master General for this area. This experience has truly been horrific!

The Plainfield post office is the worst ever. My carrier repeatedly delivers my mail to the wrong address. Try calling, go through all their menu options and then told all reps are busy and my wait time is 1 to 1.5 hours. This is why  all services need to be privatized.

They stopped all my mail cause ethe previous owner requested all their mail be forwarded. I still haven't received mail from close t three weeks ago. Every time u call ur wait time is an hour or more!
