If you love waiting for unnecessary reasons then you will love this place. They tell you one thing and do another, and take hours doing it. Staff is nice but that's the only positive. Apparently we are waiting until 6pm to be discharged after being told we would be able to leave in the morning. The only reason? - We are waiting for someone (the only person in this whole hospital that has the authority to discharge patients I guess!!!) to get here from clinic duties. What a wonderful use of time and resources. In the meantime, the cleaning service has cleaned the room while we are still in here. I'm sure this is standard hospital procedure but it still makes me angry!!

I do not have a complaint on service as I was admitted on Christmas day without a wait and received great care (was only person there for several hours) BUT I do have a problem with their pricing/billing. I was seen by the ER doctor for all of 5 minutes and somehow that was 2200 dollars for just the doctor fee. It was an additional 5600 for the stretcher I laid on for about 4-5 hours and the pain meds/IV. 7800.00 dollars total. 2nd time in last 3-4 years I have been to USMD and have received an insane bill. Will never step foot in this place ever again. corrupt corrupt corrupt!

TERRIBLE EMERGENCY ROOM SERVICE! I took my daughter who was having terrible pain on her side and she could not walk and the girl at the desk was not paying me hardly any attention then during registration she answered her cell phone and was talking about her personal life and I found that very rude. Then they took her to the back and put an IV port in and the nurse was very nice but the doctor pretty much told us that there was nothing they could do and to take her to Cooks. So they discharged my daughter still in the hospital gown with the PORT IN HER ARM and I took her to Cook's Children's and even the doctors there were in shock that they sent her out of the hospital in that condition and I had to take her instead of an ambulance transport. Within in 2 hours she was being prepped for surgery at Cooks and they did a FABULOUS JOB!

No experience with the hospital but years of experience with the mens health clinic. Couldnt agree more with some of the complaints. If you like waiting months for service for no other reason than their incompetence, this is the place for you. And dont dare try to use their internal complaint system, I did and they fired me as a patient. At a time when my PSA has shot up and I am leaving the area for months (which they are aware of). So, I may have something major wrong and they leave me with two days to find a doctor and get all the tests done again to see what is going on (which obviously cant be done) simply because I ballistic on them after months of them dropping the ball and not caring about their patient. Shame on them. If it turns out by waiting months to find out my issue and it is cancer, they will be hearing from me again. Stay away from them if you can, they are so big you the individual patient is of little concern to them.

I had 2 past miscarriages before ... dr. Patel was my obgyn doc .. on my 3rd pregnancy (most recent one) I was traumatized, trying my best to not lose this one too... I thought they would keep a closer eye on me but they said everything looked fine .. and I told them that's what they said of my 2nd pregnancy and miscarried a week later (11weeks pregnant) .. but they said that they couldn't list me as high risk because everything looked fine ... .. so on November 17th i had my 20 week scan .. got to know the gender of our baby .. we were so happy .. but carol the ultrasound tech mentioned something about the cervix getting smaller ... (at the time I didn't think it was a sign of labor because they didn't show precautions) ... after the ultrasound , Peggy who filled in for Patel that day didn't even mention my cervix or having any problems .. in which I'll remind you the tech mentioned to me that it was getting smaller ... Peggy just told me everything looked like it was going good , congratulations that we were having a baby boy , and checked baby's heart beat once again and then we left ... on November 23rd thanksgiving day I gave birth to my baby boy Xavier at 9:05am... he was 20 weeks and 6 days .. 10 in and 11.2 oz... he was extremely premature and they didn't even try to save him, unfortunately... and I did my research... apparently when cervix is getting smaller they are signs of cervix getting ready to go into labor .... if they knew I had a history of miscarriages and saw my cervix getting smaller ... my question is why they didn't do anything to try and help my son ? Why they didn't even try an emergency cerclage on me ?? It is that after having and losing my son when the emergency doc tells me I have an incompetent cervix and with future pregnancies I need a surgical cervix cerclage... 😢 Instead of celebrating my sons birth I had to plan his funeral 😞
