This facility needs some work. I spent 3 days in this hospital and everyday there was an issue. *This facility never put on my wristband to identify who I was..(you're supposed to have this to identify who you are before meds are distributed * They had disrespectful, very rude charge nurse name Leslie very rude!!! (2 or 3 floor) * They didn't document all my intakes of medicines * They left open syringes in the room in other words they didn't dispose of them properly * Probably seen the doctor one time for 12 mins out of 3 days I had just handful of polite nurses, and PCT in there. Ava was very nice and helpful. And also they lady that takes over behind her was awesome. These were the only two helpful nurses in the facility. I recommend if you have another hospital you can go to ... try to make it. Try avoid coming here.

Almost a year after going to First Choice Emergency Room, and being transported by ambulance to First Texas Hospital for what amounted to 17 hours of observation, I come home to a collection letter in my mailbox. My insurance company paid their portion of all claims filed, while I handled the customer responsibility, which amounted to 3256.23. Then I get a bill for 6990.09, for which some of the charges appeared to be duplicate services. After going back and forth between my insurance and the billing department, I was told my account would be placed on hold until all charges were investigated, and then a corrected bill would be sent. I proactively checked the status, and was told the same thing for months, that my credit would not be affected while the billing codes were reviewed. Then today, I get not a corrected bill, but a letter from a collection agency. No other attempt was made by the billing department to make things right, prior to my account being turned over. What a nightmare! Update: As of Friday, November 25, no one from the Patient Advocate group has been in touch with me regarding an internal review.

Here for a couple day stay. My stay has been good so far minus ER again, but upstairs makes up for it. I've had really good care.

This is a new hospitAl. Whoever said spiders and roaches has ulterior motive. Great place especially ER

I went there in december when being on vacation in Texas. The first thing I asked when handing the woman my Blue Cross card was if they were a participating Blue Cross Ppo provider and was told yes. I made sure to ask this before I even took paperwork to fill out. I was brought in by 2 other people who were right there when I was told this. I had a severe headache and when the doctor saw me she said with my high blood pressure and other symptoms they needed to do a scan of my head. Now I find out from Blue Cross in Michigan they are not participating providers. As well as the fact they did not give me a diagnosis that substantiated the er visit and scan. If they needed the scan the diagnosis should show that. If they had coded it as there was need my insurance company would have paid as though it was an in network claim. I can not believe that there is not one HUGE problem with this but two. I tried calling them and get no help with either problem. I was told to mail a letter to a post office box. There is nobody who can help straighten this out in the entire hospital system? I have read online and see others who have had lots of problems with them. So much so that they have already changed the name of the hospital. I will seek legal counsel as well as contact The Better Business Bureau, State Insurance Commissioner in Michigan and Texas, the Medical Review Board, my Congressman any and every online review site that I can find until I get this straightened out. I was lied to when I walked in their door. They are taking advantage of sick people. Telling people they are participating with there insurance company when they are not just to keep them and run up huge bills. What kind of a health care facility does that? Not an honest one. Not a reputable one. They should be shut down. I will not stop until they take care of this situation.
