Do NOT go to this hospital for your or loved one's health care. We've been to other Presbyterian Hospitals with no problems. This one should never have opened their doors. My wife was stuck in their ER for 8 hours - they forgot about her!!! Finally admitted to a room, why??? She was ready to come home!! Did not need a room. No phone in her room. When she finally got one, it would not ring. No one answers the station nurses phones. Dial any other extensions and you will get no one to answer! ! You cannot get the Doctors or nurses and IF you do they are incapable of answering my (the husband) questions. Finally, attending Dr. wants to send to a rehab. Why?? Because she's somewhat dizzy when walks??? Nonsense!! My wife begging to get her out of here. She's coming home today and is only too happy to sign their release form. USE THIS HOSPITAL AT YOUR OWN RISK!! Geeesh! Got home and went over wife's hospital paperwork. Doesn't show what her ailment and treatment was for...this is the Keystone Cops of all hospitals!! This hellhole better not try to send me a bill as I'll forward to my attorney to handle.

The Service was fine, but I planned my visits and surgeries around the financial assistance program. Unknowingly they do not combine the dollar value of multiple visits. They use a 90 day loop whole. Now I am having to consider bankruptcy. I should have gone to BAYLOR. At least they do not rob me.

We would not recommend this hospital if you hope to get care in a reasonable amount of time and in a safe environment. We waited over 2 hours only to find out that they had mixed up the patient order and let another patient go ahead of us. Additionally, when finally being led back to our room, a young man behind the locked doors area was wandering around. As we were being led to a room the nurse leading us asked the other nurse what the man was doing. We thought that was strange as her reply was that he was just walking around. I was having severe abdominal pain and was miserable - a while later in our room, waiting for what seemed to be another inordinate amount of time to see the doctor, we heard a knock at the door. My husband, thinking it was the doctor, said come in. Nothing. Another knock to which my husband said again come in. Nothing. He said come in again loudly....no doctor. It was the young man wandering the patient area asking me if I wanted him to come in and heal me. I declined and said I was waiting on the doctor. He went on about how he needed to come in because he was leaving at midnight and if I wanted healed he needed to come in. I said I was fine and he kept on. Finally my husband and I convinced him to leave and shut the door. The nurses clearly knew he was not thinking right- hence the one questioning why he was just walking around. What kind of hospital makes you wait for 2+ hours in agonizing pain and then allows someone to wander the patient area, that clearly isn't thinking properly. What if my husband hasn't been there and he had come in the room anyway?!? Additionally, after 6+ hours I was diagnosed with a condition that the doctor should have made me aware required diet restrictions. I was too sick yesterday but started reading today after vomiting started. It's pretty commonly understood that you go on a liquid diet for at least 3 days following being diagnosed with the condition I was. Pretty sad when Google provides better direction than the care you receive at the Plano Presbyterian ER. Granted Google can't give you a CT scan but we specifically asked the nurse about diet and she said no restrictions she was aware of. A lot of pain and vomiting it would have saved me today had she actually cared to check. Spend your money in a professionally managed ER where they keep patients in the right order, care about a safe environment and have staff that are knowledgeable in how to handle your condition.

Waited only about an hour to be seen in the triage room. Attending nurse and doctor have been friendly and helpful. The receiving ladies at the Emergency desk were preoccupied with each other and one's phone and seemed genuinely uninterested in our existence. "After all, this is the Emergency Room", one said. We didn't want to be there, nor did they. I and other "guests" were unable to watch the football game because only the off duty manager is empowered to top secret ability to change the TV channels. It's been about 2 hours now. We're still in triage awaiting a CT Scan. Hopefully the rest of our stay will be better than the start.

Al W., the emergency room volunteer, was a joy to have around. We had our 4 yr old neice that was not feeling so well about the environment, and he was so sweet to her. Even got her a teddy bear. All the nurses in the ER were great, respectful, and courteous. Love them all!
