wow I wish I read these reviews before I rented from them. First of all I needed to rent a car for a few days while my sons car gets fixed. We go to the airport they want my insurance declaration. No problem got it. I tell Desmond ( the desk clerk) the we cannot find out until Monday if we need the car for 2 days or 4 days. He tells me either was it will be the same price $43.00 per day.Then I find out when I call today that the car will be $97.00 per day extra not the 43.00 . Oh wait I forgot after I make the booking it says no refunds no cancellations. So your stuck. So Desmond tells me he cannot put the coupon code in that I had and that I should call back today and they should be able to put it in. I made 6 calls to advantage today the last being on and off hold for 34.47 seconds. The woman going back and forth about having to transfer me to have someone else put the code in for me after 31 minutes. So finally I ask for the Corporate phone number and I am advised by Alec M (female) that they are not allowed to give out the number from Corporate. So Being a police officer I will be filing every complaint that I can because nothing is told to you before the booking everything is either read real fast or written on the contract on the back. And believe me if there is a line when I return my car I will be advising everyone to not rent from then as well as on every social media page I can. So needless to say for a !5% discount I made about 8 calls all lasting about 3 or more hours. Oh and then they get you with the gas thing to. I grade them a minus 10 Stars...I will be writing to the BBB to. OH and check your credit cards to they may add on some more surcharges also.

Oh boy. Like many other reviews here I got burned by their ridiculous "local rental" policy, which is located on page three of the fine print of the voucher I got AFTER I made my reservation. If you're a "local renter" (read: live within 65 miles) you have to have your own car insurance printed out and ready to go. Who is local, but wants to rent a car, when they already have car insurance for (most likely) a car they already own? There are two possible reasons for this policy: 1.) It's a classic bait-and-switch tactic and a scummy, classless move by any measure. 2.) If it's not intended to be that, then it's the most idiotic policy I've ever encountered. Either way, avoid at all costs. The real problem is that this fly-by-night company is getting referrals from partner sites and aggregators like Kayak, who I feel are partially responsible for allowing the dishonest business practices of this company to continue. By booking through third party sites, you don't get the chance to see all of the negative reviews that would turn any reasonable customer away from this service. The best part is that, when booking, they list "Flight Information" as an optional field. Assuming I don't fill that out, that would indicate that I am most likely a local renter. It would be obvious to have a warning about their local renter policy display at that point, instead of buried DEEP in the fine print. I'm sure they have their reasons. I would also blame the extremely rude staff, in part, for my negative experience, but I honestly feel sorry for them. If your job was to deal with a constant stream of people who are fuming mad over your company's asinine policies, you would probably be rude too. In my life, this is the worst experience I have ever had with a company.

Excellent experience. Agent was wonderful when checking in. Got a great car. Easy drop off. Highly recommend them!

Upon arrival at Newark on June 22, 2017 we waited 10 minutes to do the paper work which in my opinion is no big deal. I am sorry I didn't get the reservation clerks name but she was terrific in explaining everything. Our car was there and she had already checked for scratches etc. and marked them on our paperwork. We returned the car June 24 a day early and Ashley could not be nicer. She greeted us with a small and was extremely pleasant. We were done within 5 minutes. She also told us what are bill would be. We received a reduction without asking. I would recommend the car rental at Newark Airport in a heartbeat. Donald and Sheila Andreas

Really bad experience. They say local renter has to have their own insurance and credit card insurance is not accepted. They don't even sell insurance. Then why do you even take bookings for local renters. If I have my car and insurance why will I book a rental car? Wasted my whole day and plans. Never going to book with this company every again
