We arrived at our vacation destination two hours late, and the car we had reserved was not available (entire section of that size was empty). Without skipping a beat, and without any additional paperwork or delay, we were offered a much roomier car (that got incredible gas mileage). The return was also painless, and took less than a minute. Great value, great service (we try to always use Alamo--became acquainted with them through Southwest Airlines years ago).

Used Alamo Fort Myers for the first time. I used online check in, and it's good that I did, since there was a big line at the counter when I arrived. I was able to skip the counter and went to the garage to get the vehicle. There were about 6 people waiting in line there for an attendant, but luckily it was only about an 8 minute wait, although in my view a 1 minute wait is too long. I reserved a large SUV advertised as a Chevy Tahoe, but I was secretly hoping they would offer me something larger, like a Suburban or Expedition. I noticed other reviews saying you just go to the section for the vehicle class you reserved and pick a car.  Not so this time at least, they hardly had any vehicles in the pickup area, Alamo workers were frantically bringing in vehicles dripping wet from the car wash, then directing a waiting customer to their respective car that just rolled in. In my case, they directed me to the only large SUV in sight, which happened to be a Ford Expedition. If they let me pick any vehicle on earth, I would have picked a Ford Expedition, so I was extremely happy that I got the exact vehicle I wanted. It was pretty new and clean with 8,000 miles. I would use Alamo again based on this experience.  They need to eliminate waiting at the counter and in the garage though. Don't get the fuel service option, there are plenty of gas stations in the area, although don't use the airport entrance fuel stations, they were 45 cents higher than the other gas stations a couple miles away.

The personnel were great and the car was delivered clean and ready.  The check-in and check-out process was excellent, especially if you check-in online.  The only reason this experience is rated only three Stars is that my car had 38,000 miles on it.  In my opinion a top tier rental car, which one pays dearly for, should be a lot newer than that!

Got an awesome rate on a 5 day rental.  Ended up with a nice Charger.  Can ran great.  Pickup process was flawless and the quickest I'd ever experienced.  Did not even need to go to the counter.  Was able to register for it online.   Speedy and courteous drop off as well.  Overall, great deal and great experience.  Definitely will look up Alamo for my next rental.

I rented in Fort Meyers Airport.  Got a flat tire.  There was NO SPARE TIRE. I called Alamo.  They advised that there would be a $75 Roadside Assistance charge because I waived all coverage.  I advised that there was no spare, to which they responded "you should have taken the coverage".  I was forced to take the car in to get a replacement.  The replacement took 3 hours of my time, and I received a lesser quality vehicle.  Now I say "REMEMBER THE ALAMO!"
