Terrible. I’ve been here several times (only because my company uses Avis). There’s never enough agents at the counter. The few that they do have are rude and unprofessional. There’s no one to meet you and check you in, when you drop off the car. So you have to bring the keys inside and wait in line (which is always ridiculously long). If you’re running short on time and have a flight to catch, you can drop the keys off and leave without a receipt. However, buyer beware….because they’ll charge you for fuel service (even if the tank is full).

I’ve never been the type of person to care about reviews because things happen. But from my experience today, I will make sure that I check all reviews. What’s funny is, the person I am going to mention has already received bad reviews and I can’t believe Avis has allowed him to continue to work for the company. Before I begin, keep in mind I work for a large company that uses Avis weekly to rent vehicles. I alone rent every week from them. Yesterday morning, I arrived at Avis to rent a vehicle. I was greeted by ANTHONY. Let me not say greeted because I didn’t even get a hello or good morning. Just yes? Anthony was very rude, no manners what’s so ever. I’m in customer service, so I thought to myself maybe he’s having a bad day? I went about my business. This morning my wife goes to return the keys. Long and behold Mr. Anthony was there. As a preferred member I know that there is. 29 min grace period. My wife made it just in time, she followed the directions that were listed on the sign “note time you arrived, mileage and the fuel..” She goes in to return the keys and Anthony states that it doesn’t matter what time she shows up in the lot. It’s when he presses enter on the keyboard. He charged her an extra day of insurance along with an hour extra charge. He then stated that he removed the extra hour charge. My wife brings me the receipt and I ask her what are these charges ? So I decided to go in to speak wion Anthony..ANTHONY is no where to be found. Only a sign that says he will be back in 15 mins. Well ANTHONY decided to go and take a cigarette break. My mother and I waited patiently for him To finish his cigarette. Upon his return, the first thing out his mouth was “I’m going to try and to speak to you all respectfully.” I’m taken back because I did not understand why he would have to address my mother and I. He goes on to say what the charges are and that he can’t do anything about it. He then got very nasty with my mother and I. I explained to him that I know Avis policy very well and that I am a loyal customer. I also explained to him that I approached the issue well mannered and for him to treat us that way was uncalled for. He still had no care in the world and laughed in our faces. THANKFULLY, I have everything recorded and should upload this video on Facebook so that he can see how disgusting he is. Since I left Anthony, I have 4 charges on my credit card that he did after I left the facility. I will be pursuing charges. Avis is not a bad company but if you’re at this location and see ANTHONY do yourself a favor and go to another company. It will save you the headache as well as being disrespected. I have myself and my project team have a project in Fayetteville (over 100 of us) and I will be sure to make sure that we rent from another rental company.

Bottom line is they are dishonest, do not use them they charge you falsely, and the rep Anthony is disrespectful and not honest. For starters I would like to say I travel with for my job and I'm forced to use their company solely because I'm 24 but as soon as I turn 25, I will be moving onto a more honest rental car company. But as far as the location go save yourself the time and uber to another avis location or use hertz to reserve your car because Anthony the rep, is rude disrespectful, and not honest and will charge you unfairly. I picked my car up at 6:44am with my wife, Anthony at the counter was very rude then. I don't care about people's attitude however customer service is huge to my wife and she even gave him a pass on his attitude. We only rented our car for a day, so I drove the car into the parking lot at 7:12 the sign says that I must note the time I arrived, the mileage, and the fuel. By the time I took all that down and made the long walk into avis from the parking lot it was 7:18am. As I said I travel for a living and I am fully aware of Avis 30 minute grace period in returning the car. And in areas where they don't have people to checkin I would usually note all the information and drop the key in the box but this time I decided to go in. While checking in I made Anthony aware of the time I arrived the mileage and the fuel, he then says with an attitude it doesn't matter what time I got there, it matters the time I press this enter button to check you in. I said... isn't there a grace period? He said yes but I'm checking you in now so your late. I said I travel for a living and the time I arrive is the time that is noted and he continued to argue with me. I said most places either have someone out there to check you in outside or I come to the counter and take the time I said I arrived. I said I even had time stamps to prove I was here at the time stated.. he CONINTUED to argue with someone who does this for a living. He then explained he took the charges off but my bill was still outrageous and I then said that there needs to be a sign outside he said there is. I said no that people need to come in and checkin immediately if your not gonna take the time that they said they arrived in the parking lot. I then decided I would wait for my wife to handle the situation. When my wife and her mother arrived he made the comment I'm going to try to speak to you all respectfully after she politely said Good Morning. And then he still said he couldn't do anything about the charges that we occurred because I was "late" which according to the policy I wasn't. I say all this to say. Take your business elsewhere. Looking at the other reviews of the reps they have at any avis in Fayetteville, NC I would say it's better to go with hertz or another trusted rental car facility. They are Completely disrespectful, lacked trustworthiness when they did not abide by company policy of the grace period, and was dishonest when he told me he dismissed the charges. We have called customer service and as always they fixed the situation but since we have called they have charge our card twice more and for what I have no idea but I'd much rather not deal with a sketchy company. Avis and avis customer service through 1800 is amazing but it's the people you interact with that make the difference and if I have to deal with Anthony the rep that works there it's not worth it. The fact that he has bad reviews on here already but is still working there shows how management do not care for the reviews. And doesn't take them seriously. Just based off the reviews he should be fired. Just save yourself the headache and rent elsewhere.

Rude customer service. The lady answering the phone was curt and completely unhelpful and was also having a sidebar conversation while I was asking an important question regarding rental policy and seemed disturbed by my inquiry. Will never attempt to rent from them again.

Okay. Here's the deal because I will be brief. The level of customer service from Hertz, Alamo, Enterprise we're less than satisfactory. Avis overall at Fayetteville Municipal Airport was downright misleading, disrespectful and uncalled for. I will be reporting my experience to the better business bereau for investigation. Prior to me renting, I ran into two extremely disrespectful customer service reps (Keke and Anthony). Keke preferly was unreasonable over the phone and each time I called, she forwarded my call to the national line. Whenever I rented my vehicle, I got a fully loaded 4wd suv, but later was told that they didn't have what they promised me so they gave me a chevy impala. Nobody walked out to inspect my vehicle, so to my surprise it had a flat. When I returned to the desk, Anthony promised me that he'd resolve the issue to later give me a mercedes benz. I was shocked, I even asked him over and over again, "If this vehicle costs more. I don't want it. I will accept anything." He replied, "No sir. You've been very patient, so I will take care of the paperwork for you to be on your way." Once I returned the vehicle, I was late because I decided to keep it until Sunday. Nothing wrong with that I thought. The attendant on Sunday took my key to later tell me that my bill went from $663 dollars to $1062 dollars. What Anthony didn't know is that I was recording the entire conversation he had with me for my own safety. And if I have to sue Avis I will. I will not let neither one of them get away with this. I contemplated on going up there on Monday and cursing both of them out. But I will fight them in court or with the better business bereau. Game on
