Best experience I have had in a while renting a vehicle. I rented with budget at LAX and it was a horrible experience. I haven't rented with Budget since. So, I tried them again for my trip to Tacoma Washington. It was one of the best experiences. Shout out to Donna who assisted me in changing out my vehicle. She was Awesome!!! Every staff member I came in contact with was pleasant and helpful. Kudos Budget!

Very easy to return a car and location is great including the staff.. since i had picked up the car in LAX and dropped it here. One of the staff member explained us how things works when we are dealing with such huge rental locations.. got some insight as it is bigger in LAX than here and the lady there didn’t let us show her the marks/damage we saw.. just by saying everything is recorded

Taking a car with Budget was one of the awful experience I ever did. From the start, we reserve (and pay) online a Premium car. We arrive at the airport just to know that we had 100 person in line with only 3 servers, and that even if we reserved and paid online we had to do the line. After 90 minutes we arrive at the counter, and probably because of the high affluence, the server offers us a Full-Size car. Yes, a Full when we paid for a Premium, and she doesn't even mention that. Fortunately, we remembered that the car we were getting was on another level, so we ask for our premium, and she says that all the premium are gone and we have to wait. The alternative was a FREE DOWNGRADE to a Full size (Yes, no refund), or a PAID UPGRADE (25$ for the next tier). This is not how it works, if you can't give me what I paid for I expect to have a free upgrade, not a free downgrade. We get our Full-size car (we didn't want to pay, it is ridiculous) and we get to our car. Well, no keys were there, so we had to wait for them to fetch ANOTHER car. And this is not even the end, as we leave thinking to have a full tank (8/8 bars), but after 3 miles the tank goes to 7/8. I thought that since I was getting the car back with a full tank, they gave me one full, not one that seems full. I will NEVER get another car from budget or any other budget affiliate.

Budget heard my complaint and totally rectified the situation! Took my experience as constructive criticism, sincerely apologized, and refunded me! I learned to pay more attention and ask questions. Will likely be using budget again. Once I got to the right department their customer service is fantastic! My first ever rental experience was great until I was charged almost FOUR TIMES what I was originally quoted. The gentlemen at the counter did NOT tell me that if I did not provide proof of insurance and AAA I would be charged horrendous fees, nor was I notified of an underage driver’s fee! I opted for additional coverage - which I was originally quoted $30, and rental for the weekend I was quoted about $140 for three days. My final charges came to just under $440! I did not receive a receipt, but found out about the charges on my credit card statement. I called and spent half an hour on the phone and was told I could only be refunded $136 because I signed the agreements at the counter. However, at the counter, the Budget rep only wished to speak to me about my personal life, there was a long line, AND this was my first time renting a car and I blindly trusted the system. Even with the $136 I am still upset. I feel robbed! I would not have rented a car had I known it would cost so much. I will definitely be sharing my experience with my friends, family, and coworkers. I feel completely taken advantage of.

Whatever you do do not rent from the airport. Or even budget for that much what I showed up to the airport yesterday the 17th of October. To pick up my rental car from budget I was put through the wringer to try to pick up my car. First they have Port directions to where to go to actually achieve picking up your car. So I went down to the second floor where it showed budget was at. Waited in line was asked if they could help me and I said I'm here to pick up my car. The guy behind the counter proceeded to ask me if I had filled the rental agreement and I said yes I did it online. At this point he became very rude and treated me like I was an idiot. Told me I was in the wrong area and go upstairs. So I asked him where upstairs do I need to go, you looked at me with disgust and said go upstairs I again ask him where at upstairs do I go I've never been here before his response to me I told you to go upstairs. At this point it's safe to say I was pissed. So I went upstairs spent 15 minutes looking for Budget car rental place. By the way for anybody in that isn't going to listen to this review it's on the 5th floor inside the actual Airport. I go to the counter the car that I had to request it they weren't going to give me. They were trying to give me a lesser version of what I actually requested that was a different price it was cheaper but was still going to charge me the full price for the vehicle that I had requested. After going through all this the only person that actually asked me if they could help me was it a lot attendant a young African-American gentleman that I was highly impressed with and should be running that whole show. With his customer service skills and his willingness to help Heat make one of the best managers for that car rental. Other than that don't run from these people they gave me a car that doesn't have cruise control and I'm driving 6 hours. I don't want to sound Petty does that does that's six hours of trying to maintain a speed without speeding or going too slow is tiring. And since I had to pay full price I expect everything to work in the vehicle that I get. So I called and complained to the 1-800 number which did no good all the guy would do is give me a $20 coupon for the next time I rent from budget. Well here's a news flash for you there will not be a next time if you are treated this way why in the hell would you ever go back for seconds! Good luck budget you never know who you're renting to or who your customers are and I just happened to be one of those gentlemen that you should have treated with respect. Because I do have to reach to make sure you lose business on a professional level.
