The car we rented didn't seem to be riding right (not Budget's fault, since the previous driver probably didn't report it). I called in and Sherry was ready to help me out even though it's the busy holiday season. When we brought the car back she had us into a new car within 5 min. Great service!

Budget rent a car Des Moines Airport -NEVER  go near them   Never Ever

We rented a car 8-14 sept 2017 at this office 
We had a voucher from EXPEDIA  stating total price 212 usd (including taxes)
We returned the car after filling at the gas station just before the airport
We were promised to have an email sent -still waiting
Today found out we were charged 333.47 usd  ( can you figure out the diffrance????)
Upon talking to customer services - I was told the addition is 122$ for ..returning the car not full of gas 
Which is not true ( another way to say lie) 
Do you know how many tanks you can fill for that amount especially in Iowa where gas is super cheap

Shame on you Budget  rent a car for  behaving this way 
How low can you go for 122 $ (or maybe you needed this for lunch )

No employee is at the budget desk at 2 pm on a Saturday. I have a rental car waiting that I made a reservation for, but instead a sign points me to go to the Avis desk. The line there is incredibly long. Called Budget customer service, they have no idea where Des Moines is (ok, understandable) and no idea where the employee is. They provide no help and also tell me to go to the Avis desk. I made my reservation with Budget. This makes no sense.

Went online to rent a car.  The credit card was not accepted, but they put a hold on the money anyway.  I did this on a Friday, and was told that the hold would be dropped off in 48 hours.  On Monday, when the money wasn't there, I called again.  This time they said 48 BUSINESS hours.  On Tuesday I called again, and they said they would have to escalate it, and it would take ANOTHER 48 hours.  They shouldn't have ever put a hold on the money anyway.  Outsourced to India for customer service, and have to be transferred to customer service every time you call, voice activated stuff never works.  Will never use Budget again.

Will absolutely never rent from Budget again. Just found out they don't have the truck or dolly that I reserved 2 months ago in advance. Back then I saw similar reviews and decided to ignore them since Budget is so much cheaper. Turns out you get what you pay for. Or in this case, you don't even get that. Will be renting from UHaul forever, and advising everyone I know not to go with Budget.
