I bought a car here maybe 7 or 8 years ago, and it was by far the easiest car purchase I had ever had at the time.  

Because of that, I checked here when I sold another car, and even though I had been told that CarMax would have the lowest offer of anyone, they actually beat out everyone else's offer, and not by just a little.  We took the entire week allowed to decide, and took the car in near their closing time, but we're welcomed ( not encourage to come back tomorrow).  

Ultimately, it took about 40 minutes to go over the paperwork, let them go over the car again, a d walk out with a check in hand.

In terms of buying  a car, I don't think you are going to find the deal of a lifetime at CarMax, but you won't get ripped off either.  They really love up to the claim of no hassle, and easy process.

Great experience.  We went to CarMax because of the large selection of compact crossover's there were on their website.  The salesman was helpful, but gave us plenty of space to look at all the options.  We found what we were looking for and I thought their pricing was very fair.  Easiest car I ever bought.

We had visited several car dealers around us. We were pretty specific on the make/model of the vehicle we wanted along with the features we wanted - along with the price we were willing to pay. The dealers all tried to get us to settle for something and spend more than we wanted too. We tried CarMax for the first time. TJ was our salesperson. We told him what we wanted and what our budget was. He found a car that matched our specs and price at another CarMax in another state and had it shipped in. We inspected it and ended up purchasing it. All in about 2 hours from when we walked in the door to inspect the car he had shipped in for us. We LOVE not having to haggle over price. We'll be doing business with CarMax again!

Outstanding service, Micah and Brooklyn took excellent care of us and explained everything in a way my wife and I both understood. Paperwork was fast and easy. No hidden "Gotchas".

Very easy purchasing process from start to finish. An online inventory search is the easiest way to begin. I got a car shipped in from another city so I could test drive it locally. All their cars are recent, low mileage, clean and carefully inspected for condition. They fix anything they find wrong and give you a full report. Salespeople are easygoing and do not pressure the buyer. Very cooperative and helpful. Pricing is truly no haggle and reasonable.  Plus, they service what they sell. Very highly recommended.
