The reviews for this company almost made me go with someone else, however I'm glad I went with Fox.  The staff were kind and courteous and went above and beyond.  The return process was painless and quick.  I will be going with Fox for my rental car needs form here on out.  Great experience at a great price!

We saved $430 off our week long rental.  A Jeep for $240 a week instead of $670 that Budget wanted.  Enterprise was even more.  The downfall was we had to wait for a shuttle for 30 minutes while we saw two Budget shuttles leave.  At at 1:30am made it tempting to choose another company however once they arrived they were fantastic.  Great service, quick and a nice vehicle.  The car had 42000 miles on it so it wasn't brand new like it might be with other companies, but when I'm home I don't drive a brand new car either, so again, it was all worth the savings.

Short version: A dishonest company. Advertised $22/day rental but expect $68/day for a different vehicle and will try to rip you off with gas at the end of it all.

Long version: After waiting 30 minutes for the shuttle you're taken to their isolated location where you can't walk to another rental service. They didn't have the car I reserved and offered a van instead. Thankfully I wasn't downgraded like many of the other reviews. When adding insurance bumped up the price with an additional ridiculous $30+/day. However proceeded due to my circumstances. What brought my review down to a single star was upon my return they charged me for gas. But I just filled the entire tank. Earlier, figuring they were dishonest took pictures with time stamps of the dash as well as kept the gas receipt. What was mind blowing was that they attempted to charge $6.99/gal for a total of $139.80... meaning I was "out" 20 gallons (an entire tank for a Dodge Caravan) with only the 220 miles I drove. Thankfully I was not in any hurry and after confronting the staff, was not charged for gas.

Worst car rental experience I have encountered. I strongly suggest to enjoy Colorado using another car rental company.

I rented from this location several months ago. I had a prepaid reservation. Per company policy prepaid reservations should be held for 12 hours. My flight was delayed so I arrived 4 hours late. I went to pick up my car where I was told I missed my 3 hour pickup window, and that I would have to pay for an upgraded vehicle if I wanted a car as the class I reserved was sold out. This would have doubled my total rental cost. I almost gave in as it was late, and I had my young son with me and I just wanted to go - instead I called corporate and got them to confirm that the car should have been held for me for 12 hours since I had already paid for the reservation. 

Corporate called the Denver airport location and told them the same but they refused to honor my reservation. I ended up not renting from Fox Rent A Car, taking an Uber to where I was staying and renting from Hertz the next day (they were AMAZING). 

Thankfully corporate refunded my prepaid reservation in full and reimbursed me for my uber ride, but I lost half a day finding a new rental the next morning. 

I may rent from Fox Rent A Car again, but definitely not from his location. 

Based on more recent reviews it sounds like the customer service has improved, but I want to make future clients aware of this so it doesn’t happen to you!

Best advice I can give you... This place is 100 percent a great deal, but making any changes after you leave the counter is expensive. All they want is come in, pick it up, shut up and they don't want to know you exist until you bring the car back at the time you said. They have up charges for returning the car more than two hours early, if you want to extend your rental, it is a LOT cheaper to return the car and start a new rental... They will tell you that. Think about what that means if you rent at DEN and drive to Colorado Springs and then need to extend your stay. With the competition,  you just change the return date on your phone app and the rate may even go down. Not with Fox, the rate goes up, way up.

While I was there, two customers had made reservations for special car types (Dodge challenger, the other was a minivan), Fox did not have the car available.

I got the feeling customers are a cash stream and nothing more. The staff was nice, it is their policies that stink.
