My New Year's day began with deciding to buy a new mattress. We visited RTG and then Kanes. Upon entering Kanes, we were greeted rather aggressively by Joey (aka Jose) who wanted to help is find the perfect mattress. We picked the mattress we liked and proceeded to pay for it. Joey sold us on the protection plan and then promised delivery on a specific date. We paid, agreed to the delivery date and off we went. On the day of the delivery, no calls were received from Kanes. By 1PM we got nervous and my wife called Kanes. The 'customer service' rep answered and she said she had no idea what was going on and she would have Joey call us. By 4PM there was still no call from Joey. I called at 4PM and asked for customer service. The person responded "I am customer service ... what do you want". I explained the situation and she told me "Joey already called your wife and explained that the item was backordered." My wife was standing right next to me as I was on speakerphone and said "no, Joey never called me!" So the woman claimed she would get Joey on the line and put me on hold. 6 minutes later she came back and said she figured out what happened - the mattress was not in stock. Incredulous, I said that Joey told us it would be delivered on this date, so where is it? Her answer was "I have no idea." No estimated delivery date, nothing. My stepdaughter came home around 7PM (the mattress was for her) and called herself. Ricardo, Joey's manager, answered and apologized, stating the issue would be resolved and we would be contacted. Next day - no call, nothing. Next day, my wife called and asked for customer service again. This time Joey was put on the phone and he explained the problem and apologized for the lack of communication. Next, Ricardo called and apologized some more. Over the next day we got several calls, finally agreeing to deliver the mattress in 2 days. So bottom line here is we should not have to call and demand delivery for an item that was promised on a certain date. This was far too difficult for a simple mattress. I fault the original sales guy for not informing us of the stock condition - if he was realistic about delivery dates up front we would have been happy.

Good furniture selection. A bit slow staff and slow at processing orders. Quality of furniture and prices are just right.

I’ve bought a lot from them. Ask for Sonya! She is the bomb and made sure I was treated right if there was an issue. The pieces themselves were great quality. Delivery was as stated and went smoothly.

Beware! Don't buy from Kanes. Bought a living room set, which included sofa, loveseat, center table, and tv console. The sales guy misguided me, and sent the wrong center table. I was not able to return it, but rather received a store credit after lots of complaints. Less than 6 months from buying the sofa the electronic feature didn't work, and less than 1 1/2 year, the sofa was sinking in. Everytime you call it's an issue. They tend to blame each other for mispeaking, and like to make excuses. The tech guy that came the last time; threw the sofa on the floor (without care), things fell off the drawers and he didn't pick them up, really!!! Was supposed to get a call 2 days after his visit; did no receive it. Therefore, I called in, and the CS manager acted as if everything was fixed; even though, she was well aware of what needed to be corrected. Lifetime Warranty sucks...my sofa and loveseat alone were over $2,000, so I didn't buy cheap; therefore I expected better quality and service! I will NEVER buy from Kanes in the future.
